Took for Developmental Bio. Hard and difficult subject, but Dr. Cox explains it well and gives easy to understand notes. Tests are ALL fill in the blank and essays, but questions are pretty much right from notes. Great professor and you will learn a lot if interested in bio!

Dr. Cox is a great professor. Anyone who tells you differently is someone who doesn't understand what college and more importantly biology classes require. Print off his powerpoints, go to class, and attend his study sessions and you will do great.

Daniel Cox is the best professor I have ever had. His teaching ability is second to none, and he actually cares about his students. These other morons who think otherwise are quite useless and deservedly failed his class.

HARD HARD HARD HARD HARD CLASS! I had all As in Biology before taking this class. He's extremely nice and offers many extra help options and will always work with you, however, his tests are DEATH on PAPER. All his tests are based on his powerpoints, which you should print out and take to class every lecture.

The best thing you can do for this class is to read the text before attending lecture otherwise it's difficult to follow. Extremely fair teacher, if you go to his office hours he is always open to answering any questions and he will even go beyond the basics for you. Too bad he doesn't teach any other undergrad classes.

Overall a nice guy, but his teaching leaves something to be desired. He just reads straight from the powerpoints. There's sooooooo much to remember, and the tests can be tricky. He does curve the tests though. Not the best bio teacher but you could do a lot worse.

All the notes and reading resources are online and there is no textbook for this class. Everything taught was cutting edge and within the last few years. Dr. Cox shows utmost respect for his student and does a good job teaching the course. The material is not easy and it's important to complete all assignments and attend all classes. He curves, tha

Dr. Cox is really nice and smart but he says "um" about 30 times in a minute. There's a lot of material to know in BIO213 so going to class would help. he curves like crazy!!!!

I thought that he has an advanced strategy than other cell bio teachers. His exam is kind of challenging but he curved generously, actually big curve. So if you really study, possible to get A. Always open to help and discuss related topics.

First time teaching this course. Likes for students to apply what is learned, so tests are not just about facts, which makes the class more difficult. Doesn't know how to simplify his way of speaking so that you can understand what he's trying to explain even though he tries. But he has practice tests to use and asks for student input.
