I don't normally post negative reviews & try to look on the bright side, but I really can't see how this professor is still employed. Although he seems to have a wealth of knowledge, he insults his students and makes class super uncomfortable, and in a class where discussion is mandatory if anyone dare disagree w/ him it's world war III. STAY AWAY

WORST TEACHER EVER!! If you don't like expressing your own thoughts, this is the class for you. If you even dare to say something he doesn't agree with, prepare to be insulted. He will ask you questions to purposefully make you feel and look stupid. Run away, run far way!

Comment:
I do NOT recommend Prof. Sandole. His lectures are rambling and hard to follow, his notes are messy and almost impossible to read, and there was a ridiculous amount of reading. He also gets very angry if nobody speaks in class, and lectures you about not caring about the field. He's a nice person, but not a good teacher. Take someone else.

Sandole is a sweet guy, with ALOT of knowledge in his field. Sometimes he gets VERY off topic and seems to ramble, but he means well. The term papers are demanding but not impossible so dont wait til the last minute. He is defintely an expert is his field.

Great guy, experienced! Be prepared to read and use readings to write papers. No exams; two short film reviews and two 15-20 page papers. Some of the stuff he's written is available online and was very useful when writing the term papes.

Comment:
Sandole is a sincere professor. He is very funny and easy to relate to. He wrote a good book that serves as a framework for term papers. The framework can be applied to many other sociololy/conflict papers..worthwhile. Come to class...he really likes to get to know his students. Be prepared for 2 15-20pg. term papers.
