Comment:
EECS 320 is challenging. You need to have a good work ethic to succeed in that class. Students who have terrible work ethic are taking out their anger on Ku. 320 covers ALOT of material on semiconductors and sometimes there isn't enough time in lecture. Go to OH for HW and questions. Prof Ku is a great professor and is very helpful in OH.

I don't think Prof. Ku deserves such a bad rep for 320! I had him in Winter 2018 and I thought he was a tough but fair instructor. You really need to be reading the book and notes to keep up in that class, and that might be why people found him unclear. He told us that if you could do the homework that you could earn a high grade: very true.

Comment:
Extremely arrogant and does not seem to care about his students. Because he taught an introduction course for first year engineers, it is very likely he turned a lot of students away from engineering. His lectures are not well prepared and he has unrealistic expectations for first year engineering students, and is unhelpful when asked for help.

Hands down the worst professor I have ever had. Gives horrible lectures. Nearly never accessible outside of class, and when he is, he is very reluctant and/or incapable of giving any help. Our final project requires us to fly a drone autonomously through a course (without previous coding knowledge). If you get this professor, drop him immediately.

Comment:
This guy is absolutely horrible. Whenever you ask questions he goes on to tell you that you can answer it however, and does not say any more on how to solve the problem. For the final project, he gave absolutely 0 help with helping set up a rubric and everything else, if anything he made the process more painful. Absolutely brutal.

Hated taking this class with him. We repetitively covered maybe half the material in class, the rest we had to get from the book. Pop quizzes almost every other class period. Does a poor job of explaining and is in no way engaging. Avoid

Bad professor, towards the end of the term 3 students were present. Intelligent guy, but cannot seem to put his thoughts into words(or slides, or diagrams, or notes, etc.). Is unhelpful in office hours, guides students in the wrong direction. Lastly he skips chunks of the material that is supposed to be covered. The skipped material is on the exam.

An poor prof, at 830 in the morning it is hard to stay awake for the full hour and a half. Unable to communicate what he wants to say effectively. His exams are very different from the book, making it REALLY REALLY hard to do well. He would be a lot better if he provided more worked examples, exam style. Repeat: exams are BRUTAL!!
