He is a great Professor, and teaches very well. I have ADHD and if he can explain it to me, then it shouldn't be a problem for anyone else. He will help you all the way.

Dr. George is a genuinely kind and caring human being. He cares about his students and wants to help us out. Unfortunately, Quant is a really dry, boring subject. He tends to make errors on the board and I am not capable of paying full attention to his lectures.

Comment:
Classes are not geared toward students who are majoring in any of the subjects. Assigns unreasonably difficult time consuming homework that is not consistent with the course material. Tests are also not completely consistent with course material either. Would recommend only to students who don't have a problem with making a C or lower.

I had him for CH121 & CH123. If you show him that you care about your grade, he will help you out tremendously. He is one of the most caring professors I have ever had, regardless of his style of teaching. He is not the best lecturer, and you will have to do a lot of self-teaching, but paying attention to how he works problems in class will help.

Comment:
Do not take Dr. George if your major is in Chemistry. He may be better in Polymer science but if you take him for Gen Chem II get ready to learn a difficult subject on your own. He makes so many errors on his slides and EVEN ON THE TESTS. A few extra credit points are rewarded for doing several chapters of homework questions which is how you learn.

This is my second semester with Professor George. He has improved quite a bit from last semester, but be prepared to teach yourself a lot of the information. Most of the time he misreads his powerpoints or doesn't manage his time wisely. The semester was almost over when we finally took our second exam.

i learned more about quant analysis in previous chem courses than i did in his. half the stuff he said was wrong, the other half was overly worded. would not recommend.

I'm not the best at chem, but I usually manage to pull an A with hard work. Not with George. He rambles on in his lectures, and some things that he teaches are, quite frankly, just flat-out wrong. We had a grand total of 4 grades (3 exams and a final) in the class, and three of those four grades took place in the last 6 days of class.

A fun and caring guy, and a quite respectable person. Not a great teacher though, his lectures are hard to understand and very unclear, and his slides were full of errors. His tests are difficult, but he curves them and will help his students to do well. Our class was given the wrong final exam (CH123, not 121).

Dr. George seems to care about his students; however his teaching skills leave a lot to be desired. While he may "curve" your test grades (meaning bump your grade up a lot), he tends to make mistakes in his lectures. Reading ahead will be IMPERTINENT if you want a good grade in the class. As long as you keep up with the work, you'll be fine.

The homework and online tests were based out of the online textbook software, so I attribute most of my success in the class to reading the textbook. Coming to class and listening to his lectures confused me more than helped me because his examples, powerpoints, and lectures contained errors to the point that I had trouble trusting his teaching.

This teacher is a disgrace. He comes to class with errors on power points he never bothers to correct. He will not come to his office hours even when you email him. He claims to give everyone at least a C, but only 10% A's. He also clearly shows favortism to certain students. I wish someone would demand him to get his act together.

Really hard to believe that this guy teaches PChem when he can't teach Quant. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and I still ended up with an A. No one in the class knew what was going on. The book wasn't of much use because he used the previous edition. If you want an A, take this professor. If you're a Chemistry major, don't.

He was placed into this course due to the lack of inorganic professor. And I think he did as good of a job as anyone could have with little time to prepare for such a difficult course. We all worked together to muddle our way through the class. And I really appreciate the way he used to encourage us to help him help us. Good professor.

Dr. George is not an inorganic professor but stepped up to take this position. He did well and was helpful when I got stuck. I like him as a professor even if he is disorganized. He's really laid back and easy to talk to.

He's a nice guy, if a bit space-y. He likes to teach people who have an interest in the material. If you go talk to him one on one he's really helpful! He grades super easy as well!

he has to smoke something before he comes to classes. This guy might know the material, but very deeply..so deeply that you can't even see it nor understand it... Sometimes you wonder where his PhD came from... But hey I am happy with his grading. Read the book and go talk to Dr. Baird...he will help you. He rocks!

Comment:
For me, I understand the subject very well. However, you have to put to understand it. For the grading, he will give A to everybody, and he will say that that in the beginning of the class. In addition, he is very nice person, and he made me love the subject, the class, and him. He is the best choice for the Physical Chemistry classes.
