Comment:
PHYS 225L was extremely easy and based off abt 10 labs with 1 extra credit lab. The class was still curved and getting an A was extremely easy. However, I did take the lab online which meant it wasn't physically interactive. But, the labs were really easy and simple. Only took me 1-2 hours per lab.

I took Professor Tifrea who also happens to be the head of the Department of Physics at CSUF. Obviously, learning mechanics in 5 weeks is practically impossible and if you really want to learn, TAKE PHYS 225 DURING FALL/SPRING. Personally, I did not learn that much but he does curve the class based on the overall class performance.

Worst professor I have ever had. Grades unfairly and gives you a grade based on what he thinks, even though you earned it. Truly awful and terrible.

not CSUF's greatest show of teaching talent. This guy doesn't really seem to care. You can try really hard and he'll grade you just as hard. Was a really defeating experience. if you can take someone else - please do. avoid him at all costs. he is the head of the department, and the worst professor in it.

Professor Tiefrea is a prime example of what happens to burnt out professors with tenure. He does not care anymore. His grading is HARSH, and he does not care if you may have forgotten certain problems in mathematics. Most teachers will give a brief review of small subjects, but Tifrea? He does not care. I would NEVER take him again.

You'll either get a good grade or bad grade and on both cases you didn't learn anything from him. It's just a matter of cheating or luck. Don't take! He will make you hate physics.

Comment:
He's a good physicist and expecting student to understand his level and the way he thinks! He doesn't explain if you didn't understand from him. He expect you to solve every single problem in the book because he won't bring something that he explained on the exams. The way he grades is so unfair. You won't get the grade you want no matter what.

He understands the concepts well but does not pass on the information to his students clearly. The class is often confused and as students, we are frustrated. It's easier to use the book and self-teach by doing problems and looking up solutions than follow his lectures. :(

He certainly isn't the easiest professor around, but that is okay; he grades fairly and his lectures are excellent.
