Dr. Kautz is amazing! We had 2 weekly discussion boards. One was due on Wednesday that was about the read of the week (along with a 5 question quiz) and friday's discussion board was to comment on other people's discussions. She expected a lot in the 2 papers that were due. Her exams were extensive, but you can get an A if you read all the stories!

Comment:
The course itself is a good course. Alot of work. But the work is graded so difficultly that it is almost impossible to get an A. Class enrollment is 27 and only 4 A's came out and was exempt from the final. Intense discussion boards and very short quizzez every week so must know maaterial or will fail the quiz by missing 1 or 2.

Difficult class but very knowledgeable teacher. Quizzes are short, but they are difficult unless you know the material. Papers are easy overall.

Read & you'll ace the quizzes & do well on the discussions. Posts are due Wed & responses due Fri. The 1st paper was easy, the 2nd was pretty hard (research paper). The exams are difficult but if you've read you'll do fine. Do the extra credit!!!

She is a great teacher. She only does online courses, so you should already know right there that you are going to have to do the reading assigned. Weekly quizzes are easy (IF YOUVE READ THE STORY). Midterm and final come right from the weekly quizzes. She is very good with explaining things if you're confused, and responding to discussion boards.

Prof Kautz is very helpful. You MUST read the material or don't plan on getting an A. Material & discussions are interesting but do require time. She is quick to respond to questions & is one of the few prof that actually reads & comments on your discussions/assignments. Great teacher!

I love reading the texts she assigns. She is online only, but helps out when she can. Weekly assignments, but not too much. Easy class, just read the assignments!! :)

She is great! She teaches online only, because she lives in Alabama. It's a lit class so there is a lot of reading. You do a discussion board every week, a midterm and final, and two papers. She is easy to work with!
