I loved taking this class. Solliday is a great lecturer, although if you can't handle long lectures the class probably isn't best for you. His lectures were on things outside of the book, so by the end of the semester I feel like I have a really good grasp on the material. Fully recommend him!

I've been in the class for a few weeks, and I can't stay in it. He does not teach, he stands at the front of the class and recites from a piece of paper. The class I got the most out of was the one taught by a substitute. Badly phrased questions on homework, and he didn't know which book we were supposed to have.

If you're a fan of history, Solliday is the guy for you. Good in-depth lectures every class period, reads from his own notes and gives out book assignments with 4-6 questions from the chapter. Also a 4 page book report and an 8 page research paper, all cake. Easy A if you talk to him/answer class questions. Use textbook for note-taking, just FYI.

Horrible teacher, he didn't teach. He stood at the front of the class room and read from a piece of paper. Every week 10 questions typed due at the beginning of class. Pointless book report and research paper. Tests are extremely easy, if you go over the top and over answer his questions he'll give you 100% History can be a great topic, but with bo

If you enjoy sitting and listening for 2 hours and 40 minutes then this class is for you. Book assignment every week, consisting of 5-6 questions. Good luck taking notes as he only stands and reads from his notes, very rarely does he write something on the bored. Test cover questions that are asked in the reading assignments.

If you have the chance to take Solliday, go for it. Basically, gives very interesting lectures all semester long, with easy quizzes sprinkled in once every week or 2. Maybe 2-3 simple assignments, and he might make you write a report or 2. But just write something, it doesn't have to be logical, all he cares about is quantity, not quality.
