Comment:
It's an easy A if you follow the other reviews and just consistently come to class and purchase the e-book for the answers to the really material-tedious questions. As for the lectures... probably the most boring class I've had. It's like math with words. He does have a clear passion for what he's teaching, it's just very uninteresting material.

Comment:
Laurent should not be a professor, in that he can fill two hours with talking in a nonsensical manner, and zero activity from the students. He does not respond to feedback, is not prepared for HIS OWN CLASS, and seems surprised by what he's supposed to be doing. Then, he expect the students to somehow know what to do better than he does.

Does not respond to emails quickly. Can sound rude and condescending when a student is asking a question.

This class is sooooo boring! There is no class involvement or activities, he just lectures off of the powerpoint every day, but you have to go because attendance is mandatory. He gives you 1 points for attending and -2 for missing. He gives you online quizzes which generally have nothing to do with lecture. I would NOT recommend this class at all!

If you want to actually better your future and learn something, you should probably take a different class. Easy class, just a lot of Busywork.

You have to try to fail this class. All quizzes are online, no final just reopens quizzes and attendance determines how many you get to open. you can do quizzes while in class but you have to be there! those points can make or break you.

Dr. Laurent is a fantastic professor. Lecture is VERY boring though. But you can tell he loves to teach. Very quick to responding to emails and he is very helpful when you don't understand a quiz question. Attendance is mandatory. You will lose 2 points if you don't show. 2 reaction papers and 15 quizzes--fairly easy. Easy A!

If you buy an e-textbook his texts are from standard test banks. Just use a key word/phrase from the question in the search bar and you'll fly through those 25 quizes in no time. Oh, but you tend not to learn anything by doing it that way, except how to get an A.

His lectures consists of him reading off a power point. He made attendance mandatory so you lose 2 points if you miss a class and gain 1 if you attend. He doesn't have tests, just 15, 25 question online quizzes, which test you on tedious details from the book, and a history project. I would not suggest taking this class.
