Professor Dillon is one of the best Art professors out there. She takes her lectures very serious and encourages you to ace her class. She's not a difficult grader. If you pay attention and connect with her teachings you should see an A on your final grade. I definitely recommend Dillon as a professor. On top of that she's pretty.

Truly an amazing teacher. She cares not just about regurgitating info.on an art piece but providing context--the bio.of the artist, the culture, the history, the economic state, etc. After years at Hunter with many art history professors I can honestly say NO ONE has compared to her level of comprehension and ability to transfer knowledge.

She does know her stuff, but enough with the theatrics. We're college kids, not kindergarden kids.

She knows her stuff. Just go to class and pay attention and you'll do fine. I notice she has to deal with a lot of know-it-all, pretentious kids in her classes (I've taken two of hers)... I have no idea how she puts up with it AND delivers great lectures. She's extremely helpful and a fair grader.

Syllabus makes her seem strict(and she is with attendance etc)but doesnt come off as uptight.Hard to contact outside of class.I failed ARTH111 previously and got an A+ with her;less "dry" info than other profs.Textbook barely used, tests are fair, generous grader.Tests:regurgitate everything you know and approx dates are OK(ex:'~750 CE' v. '756 CE').

This class could have been much better. She didn't manage her time well so the while second half was rushed. She tries to do too many pieces so it ends up being just a slideshow and its unclear what is on the exams. I did well cause its my major and I'm use to it but it was still disappointing.

I highly recommend her. I took the class bc it was a general requirement for my Nursing degree. Took it over summer. So far this has been the class I studied the most for. She is very clear, teaches the most important aspects, and she's very nice. Don't miss class, don't be late, do all the papers, make flash cards, and you'll be fine.

You do learn a lot about art & it's a lot of memorization of dates. However, Prof. goes out of her way to make things as difficult as she could and is not very user friendly. Because of her youth, she is a bit too uptight and by the book. She can have an edge on some days. Don't expect an A. They are rare in her class.

She is an awesome professor and I am glad that I took her class in my favorite subject. (Southern Baroque) She is young but is very clear about the subject. The lecture is so clear that you will remember what's been talked. You won't have to read much for the exams. We had 4 small article reviews (3-5 pages) + 2 exams.

She is definitely not easy but not hard either if you know what she expects from you. If you love Renaissance and Baroque, take her. You will love the subject because she loves it, too. She knows how to increase your comprehension and teaches how to study. If you are AH major, her class is very helpful. Overall, I give her A+!

The class is hot and cold. Sometimes it's so so interesting that you cannot stop writing and at other times, she just makes it into the most excruciating subject to learn. The same can be said about her kindness levels and personality as well. All in all, not the best, but not the worst either.

The class sucks, that's why it's a required elective. It doesn't have to suck, but the dept. regs make it all about the ID of a couple hundred art works. I expected a B+, got an A, so there are worse professors to take it with. If you take it, take it with her. Best quote: "This is NOT art appreciation."

I thought the three 5 page essays, assigned just before the end of the semester as part of the final, were extremely unfair as they required so much more time than 2 compare and conrast essays on the actual exam.

A breath of fresh air. She's adorable and shy but definitely knows what she's talking about. Just memorize your stuff and you'll be fine. There are only two tests and one paper and she is very lenient and will let you submit the paper to her to review it.

Very nice prof. and very helpful when you need clarification. Her syllabus was scary at first with all the readings and discussion questions but after a while it isnt so bad. Exams are more essay based but if you know what points to make then you will get an A. In my opinion shes an easy grader but you must understand the concepts.
