Comment:
Totally underwhelming. The most mediocre prof you could ask for. She talks a big game, and it's clear that she desperately wants to be inspirational but just ends up spewing bland platitudes you could find on a 14 y/o Tumblr account. The class isn't too difficult; just expect to cringe a lot.

If you want to REALLY know theological concepts, take Pope-Levison. She wants you to be as passionate about scripture as she is. But if you're looking for an "easy" UFDN 3100, avoid this class. I had to spend a ton of time on the homework. I was not a fan of the required books, but pop quizzes forced me to keep up with the reading.

Let's put it this way. A question on one of her pop reading quizzes involved remembering the definition of a Greek word that was casually dropped by one of the book authors. In one book out of the four books that she requires students to read simultaneously. "Skimming the reading" is not a thing in this class. Want an easy A? Stay away.

She's a really warm person and gives off a total mom-vibe when she teaches, though not in an over-bearing way. In class she presents you with questions you've never thought of before and there's a lot of discussion. I walked away from this class with a whole new perspecitive. The only bad thing is how hard she grades tests and essays!
