I had her for my APBI200 class and she was amazing. I was initially not that receptive to her lectures, but sure enough she grew on me and she was an excellent prof. She's quite accessible outside of class, and her office hours are really fun. The course itself is tough so do beware of that.

Nice and caring prof that is passionate about teaching soil science to her students. Although this course was not considered "easy", I enjoyed learning about soil science with her and Sandra Brown this term. The transition to online pre-recorded video lectures were very useful.

Dirt is more relevant word than soil Jokes aside, while maja's lecture and PowerPoint notes isn't the greatest (lacking in some important details), every other resources outside of lectures are very helpful (especially the discussion sessions). The course material is definitely difficult and perhaps boring, the labs however are fun and useful

she is very intelligent, smart and do her most to explain you soil science, but when she start doing questions and nobody answer or you answer wrong she really go crazy. Honestly I'm afraid of her, if I can avoid it, I do.

A downtoearth prof with her own sense of humor that she tries to bring to the otherwise boring subject of soil. Really tries her best to get everyone interested and explains concepts so they are easier to understand. Unfortunately she marks rather harshly and looks for details (which she elaborates in class) that you have to provide in your answers

Maja is awesome! She's very fun and passionate about soil, but she knows most people don't care about it. The course is what was hard. There's lots of material to know. The tests are very difficult because there are simple questions like "What is clay?" then you have to go in depth on everything there is to do with clay.

Maja is a super cool lady - she's REALLY into soil but understands that most people aren't. Good lecturer, sometimes dry material but she does her best. She's very willing to help if you ask for it. Text readings are essential - the text book is well written. The class is really eye-opening and I'm glad I took it.

Definitely have to keep on top of your notes. Her lectures are okay but she is approachable and very willing to help. I found that it took me a lot of concentration and focus to be able to understand what she was saying in class because of the way she phrases sentences. The midterm is usually long and you barely have enough time to finish.

She's actually not that bad, just focus on the notes. She's such as a nice person if you go and see her and although it's not very interesting, odds are you'll come away with something more or less valuable. The tests are not that bad and she tries to make it fun even though she realizes it's boring.

Often moves too quickly in lectures. Instills a fear of failure in the students. Turns out for the better because you will learn hords of applicable information. don't miss this class if you intend to do management or research.

Awful use of powerpoint, really, really, has to either make better notes or not hand them out. Maja is, however, very intelligent, helpful, encouraging and genuinely seems to like teaching and helping students achieve at Soil Science.
