Malone's a funny guy. He won't grade anything until there are 7 days left before grades are due. Only homework, no tests. I can't tell if this class is a joke or if stats is a joke (you're just analyzing data -_-)

I had this class during Covid, so it was completely online. The semester is almost over and none of the hw has been graded yet. He seems nice based off of the online lectures, and there are no quizzes or tests. He has guided notes and then homework assignments. This class is pretty laid back and and an easy A. I would take this class again.

Prof Malone was great. I took 110 online and it was easy and laid back. I was able to have a summer while still taking his class. However, it was hard for me to reach him about my grade. He also words his questions weird and it confused me a lot but overall, a good prof and good class. Super easy!

Class became online due to COVID. The in person class was lectures, with handouts (not graded). There's quizzes every friday, and a few tests. The online class was video lectures and homework, no quizzes/tests, and was fairly straight forward. Do not expect homework back quickly. Malone is very laid-back, and I enjoyed his lectures.

I did not learn anything from his lectures. It was a solid waste of my time. I honestly tried to keep focused and motivated, but his monotonous teaching style makes it impossible to do so

Lecture based, but the lectures almost feel more like a conversation. He's good about clarifying content and is very understanding. Doesn't like to do homework or quizzes, provides notes for you.

Professor Malone is super chill but also caring. He did not grade anything all semester so if you want to know your grade don't take this class but other than that he's super nice, he loves stats. He gave us lots of extra credit for going to class so I would recommend always going. If you go to class, you'll for sure pass his class.

Malone is the best professor I have had at Winona so far. He gives you clear and concise handouts for in class notes and his homework is always well worded and easy to understand. He makes sure you get to know the material and is always willing to help outside of class. Great professor.

Professor Malone is incredibly laid back and disorganized, but is a great professor. He is very knowledgeable about stats, but is terrible at grading. There aren't clear guidelines, but it is fairly easy and Malone is SUPER flexible. Malone is very funny and actually genuinely cares about students. I would highly recommend taking him for any class.

A great teacher! He can go fast but if you have questions he is very accessible outside of class and is willing to help you out. He does weekly quizzes but drops your two lowest scores. He also does a lot of group quizzes and take home tests. Class is not mandatory but I highly recommend going. The one downside: he's slow to grade but you get E.C.!

Before this class, I had taken this course twice (and failing twice). He told me from the beginning I would pass this class. I always showed up because he was hilarious and everything was easy to learn with him. Please take him! He makes a 9:30 class so easy to get up for! Don't count on getting your test/quizzes grades back in a timely manner.

Malone is good if you want an easy A. For example, he'll give partial credit on multiple choice ?s and wants everyone to pass. He makes learning stats very easy and keeps things simplified. Downside is that he doesn't get things graded on time and doesn't use D2L, so you never truly know how you're doing on things.

Malone is one of my favorite professors at WSU. He gives a lot of take home tests, and you can use whatever resources you would like to complete it (including him and the tutor center). He uses real data, which let me know exactly how what I'm learning is going to apply outside of school. He was amazing. Take him and you won't be disappointed.

He is super nice. He sucks at grading and wont give anything back until towards the end of the semester. He goes through everything and answers questions if you have any. He is also really funny. Only 3 test including final and about 7 quizzes and most of them are group or take home. Only thing I would complain about is you dont know your grade

Malone is a very good Stats teacher. If you have a question he is more than willing to elaborate on anything. He does not use D2L, and never hands anything back for like 5 months, so you have no clue what your grade is. He also never responds to his email so if you have questions it is best to approach him in person.

Comment:
Dr. Malone is very passionate about statistics, is a straight shooter, and can be funny at times but he takes forever to grade anything and doesn't use D2L. We took 3 quizzes before exam 1 and didn't get a single quiz back before the exam. There is no way to track your grade or how well you understand the content.
