I believe she is a great professor. If students show interest and pay attention, you will get the same energy in return. If a student goes to office hours every week she will help the student the best way she can.

Ratings to Fletcher can be controversial because if you are hard-working and want to learn, she is the one. If you just want to work the minimum take it easy, you will die. Great Professor but you need to work hard. Go to her office hours, ask questions. She will be there. I chose Econ because of this class

Very nice lady and loves microeconomics. Most of the students who take the class complain because they do not want to do the work and learn.

I absolutely loved this class. The horror stories you hear about Fletcher are from kids who shouldn't be in the class in the first place. Even though it is an applied math course, the most you will do is differentiate or integrate (but there is no need really). Problem sets get easier and the book is awesome.

i had her for marcro. it was a very challenging class and you have to put a lot of time in to just get a B. However, if you go above and beyond she will give you an A. She is the best teacher i have had a gettysburg, really passionate.

All group work with a good design whereby all members are held responsible. On VERY FEW occasions did she teach; I thought she did well but she usually just tells off-topic and irrelevant personal stories. No time management. Often unprepared. Long but manageable open book tests. Double check your grades. Unfair, biased towards some. Feminist.

Jean is passionate about econ, but she is Never on topic during class. She tells lots of irrelevant life stories and gets easily sidetracked. She is a tough grader on basically all the assignments but will curve. Tests are open note but are still challenging. She recently injured her wrist so she cannot write and has come to class high on medicine.

Class time is not often used well, but she is always willing to help outside of class. The textbook is excellent and VERY helpful. All tests and quizzes are open book/open notes but are still challenging.

Professor Fletcher cares about what she is doing. I did great in the class and she encouraged me the whole time. If you need help, ask questions and she will give it to you.. Sometimes in a drawn out manner, but still helpful in the end. Although you don't have to go to class, it is extremely helpful if you do.

I've taken 4 Classes with her (101, 232, 245, 301) and I think she's excellent. She will go above and beyond in helping you at any time. Her tests are openbook/opennote, but they will be difficult even with notes. She tends to tell stories in class to try and explain Econ concepts, but also utilizes visual demonstrations when asked.

Awesome professor. Really passionate about the subject. Honestly wants to see everyone do well... she curves to an 80 average and offers a ton of extra credit opportunities, you'd have to be dead to fail. The textbook is good, so pay attention to it. Work hard and you will be rewarded in this class.

Always willing to help, even during tests. Hates grading and really just wants to make sure you understand. Tests are all open book but they are still really hard. Not a lot of mandatory work but I would recommend reading the book especially before the exam.

I went into econ with a positive attitude. I left almost everyday with a negative one- she spends half the time on a tangent, and the tests aren't very close to what she decides to talk about. it's not like you will fail miserably, but i don't think grades reflect our true understanding of econ after the class. she has lots of extra credit.
