Comment:
His lectures are extremely unorganized. Most classes are spent listening to people ask questions or argue their opinions. It is hard to take notes because it's all talking. TONS OF READING! We had a reading quiz/ reflection EVERY single class except one to date. However, his tests are right from the study guides. Overall confusing, but do-able.

A great course that I believe everyone should take. At the start of the year I was not a very big fan of Masson. I felt his lectures were scattered and sporadic, but he grew on me as the year went on. He is very helpful and open to a variety of opinions as long as you iterate them well. Not my best professor, but not as bad as made out to be.

The class was something else, and not in a good way. Bob as we liked to call him (don't suggest it in front of him) was a wreak as a professor! He made his TA do all the work and you would listen to him BLAH BLAH BLAH evry day. Very opinionated and does not like you if you are not on his level of thinking (very brim).

Comment:
At first glance this class seems like an interesting second Theo or diverse culture, but after taking it I found it is anything but that. Masson claims to encourage class discussion but will simply cut off students if they begin making a point that does not mirror his. Eventually its just him babbling soft philosophy to a silent class. Avoid

he is closed-minded when it comes to religion so if you are not a devout catholic, write your papers like you are if you want a passing grade. his efforts for group discussion turn into him proving his own point instead of others sharing theirs. save your gpa and avoid this class

Comment:
Course was complete nonsense. While the topic is interesting, the readings are almost gibberish, and he does little to help allay the confusion that you'll feel. He also brings his own book in, which is equally confusing. His exams are very very difficult just because of how confusing the class is. Don't take him
