Comment:
Dr. Peters is a nice man, but he's too smart for his own good and VERY hard to follow if you're a person who has limited experience with physics. Writes boards full of notes BEFORE class, and then explains maybe half the material before taking up the rest of class with random stories. Had to get it on my own, but got an A. Easy on labs. Dr. Peters, simply put, is a babe. I'm so glad he always kept us until the end of class just so I can spend more time with him. I love his rambling sense of humor and his interesting life stories! You really don't know need to know anything about physics before taking this class b/c he explains so well! TAKE THIS CLASS!

Dr. Peters is sooooo hot, it makes course hard to concentrate on. Total Harrison Ford look alike! Makes the class interesting though!

Labs are long. Everyone likes to get out early. With Dr. Peters, you can forget it. He spends, I kid you not, an average of 1 hour talking about irrelevant historical nonsense before each lab, and sometimes you don't get to finish because of it. He grades terribly. One mistake nets you a little X on your paper and 20 points off, for who knows what.

Comment:
The most arrogant professor I've had to date. Spends half the class lecturing about how great he is, the other half on random tangents that may or may not have anything to do with the subject at hand. One day he's a very nice professor, the next he's insulting the class on failing to understand what he refers to as "elementary" concepts.

DON'T TAKE HIM. DON'T TAKE YOUNG EITHER. PETERS IS, IN MY OPINION, TOO OLD TO TEACH SINCE WHEN HE MAKES MISTAKES WHEN EXPLAINING INFO, HE DOESN'T APOLOGIZE OR CAN'T EXPLAIN CLEARLY. I DIDN'T LEARN ANYTHING FROM HIM. WHEN EXPLAINING TO CLASS, THEY IGNORED HIM. BEWARE IF U TAKE HIM!

Makes the labs harder than they ought to be. Doesn't want the labs to be a "cookbook" and yet gets mad when you ask him too many questions. The lab is not a "cookbook" though this is how the course is supposed to be and should be taught considering its a three hour period, not R&D for NASA.

Dr. Peters is a funny guy. I saw him in the lunchroom at 11:59, one minute before his class. But the thing is, while he was leaving the lunchroom, I was going in. Turned out there was a pop quiz that day, so to spite him, I skipped the next two weeks of class. Aside from that experience, I have to say hes a genius

you will learn a thing or two about his life's past when he gets side-tracked in his lectures. his tests are pretty difficult but if you study enough and do the homework (which will be graded the next year) you should survive. No attendance policy, but go to class and dont let the gray hair fool you

smart guy, but cant explain concepts well. he rambles a little bit and tries to prove everything he shows you while he is writing the equation. you better have a very good grasp of physics before taking this class from peters, gives quizes when nobody comes to class. takes up hw but doesnt return it

Peters likes to hear himself talk about how great he is. Then come test time, bend over. If you have to take him, may God have mercy on your soul.

Tends to ramble during class, but if you go to SI sessions, the tests aren't too bad. Quizzes are rare, there is a lot of homework, but he gives plenty of time for it. If you take a lot of notes, he will make it clear what the most important things are.

A very nice, sincere man, who loves science very much. A rare type of person who can combine his love of god and his love of science into a truly unique worldview. Tests are somewhat difficult if you don't know your facts. Take notes pay attention, OK&

He is a really nice guy, and he is really smart. I got the impression he doesn't teach intro much because his explanations usually went over my head. Also, takes a long time to grade labs, so you don't really know how you are doing. Good guy though.
