Comment:
Nice guy, but definitely not the best professor for core. Never checks or answers emails, gives very rude and unhelpful feedback, and doesn't communicate with students. He never clarifies the work that he expects from teams, and then just plainly roasts them in workshops and the business plan and basically says to "do it better" with no feedback.

His lectures are just boring and you need to watch the recording after class to get what he's saying. His feedback is just rude and unconstructive. Also, he didn't clarify what he was looking for in the business plan. Overall, avoid him at all costs if you want to receive a decent grade in Core.

(SM132): Really good guy. I can tell he cares for the material and his students. He has a slight twist of comedy and charisma in him which I like. The course is kinda hard, 2 tests and a mid term (and small HW grade). Osher was thorough with concepts however so I was alright. Gives great feedback in class and outside. Good guy overall! I recommend.

Man, this guy is not someone you want to teach Core. Not only have we been several classes behind other sections, we've been teaching HIM excel. He doesn't answer emails, and if will fixate on tiny mistakes and ignore majority of work. Next time I want to have absolutely no clue what's going on while attending every class, I'll take him.

Osher won't let you use your laptop in class, you have to keep it closed. He does not teach anything, just stands there and reads the slides. I wouldn't recommend for FE101, he gets really annoying after a little while and the class becomes something that I always dreaded.

Nice guy, mediocre to poor teacher. His class was very boring and he did not do a good job at all of explaining the material for the exam. The class was pretty much self-taught. From what I hear, Bedard is the best move. I just didn't have an early registration time to sign up for his class.

He's a nice guy, but not a good professor. 75% of the class was lost all the time and he takes 2 hours to say 30 min worth of material. Very boring class, very boring teacher

Osher was a great professor who was willing to spend extra time to help his students really understand the material. He was available outside of class to help with our core project. He did struggle when it came to using VMware (which was painful) but overall he was a wonderful professor.

Professor Osher is such a kind, funny person and he really cares about his students. He can be hard to follow, and often spends way too much time on a topic which causes the class to fall behind. He can get kind of confusing but he's always willing to help

He is a pretty good teacher, though he is sometimes too thorough with one topic making it difficult to finish the material. Exams are harder than anything we covered in class. He has a lot of office hours, so go to them. Attendance is mandatory. Book is helpful for extra practice and for reference when he is unclear.

I created an account just to talk about this guy. i took this section because of comments on here and he was COMPLETELY useless. he talks in circles and gets nothing accomplished in class. if you do get stuck with him, the TA will be your best friend. DO NOT TAKE

He doesn't do much to make a boring subject interesting but that's not his fault. He really wants to make sure students understand and is always willing to help. Connect is super easy and helpful if you actually do it. Overall, a not-so-terrible prof for a terrible subject.
