Comment:
Stebbins class was ultimately the most useful college course in my business career. Its difficult & worth every dime. Folks claiming it has no real-world application are sorely mistaken. Work w/ adults from any generation older than yours? Apply what you learned here & be recognized as a great communicator, via email, txt & speech. Formal or not.

Outdated doesn't even begin to describe her. Likes to think she's up to date, nothing could be further from the truth. Her teaching style is dry, and she talks to us like an old lady talks to a herd of cats. She is very nice, I'll give her that. But she's just not a good teacher.

It's amazing how redundant her assignments are. She does not teach a single lesson that would be useful in a real world application. Her style is old and boring.

Prof. Stebbins talks to us like we are babies. Her lack of flexibility and nitpicky, "grandmotherly" teaching style are painful. She combines overly-demanding assignments and group work with ridiculous grammar exercises. I have learned NOTHING in this class, and I feel that I am a worse writer after having taken it.

I really enjoyed Christine. Tech writing was a challenging course and she had very high expectations. I learned a great deal from this course, especially real-world things such as working with groups and sometimes difficult people. Excellent instructor, pleasant, and very helpful.

Christine is awesome. This course is very time consuming, but it is one of perhaps a handfull of courses that I have taken that is actually useful in the real world. If you plan on going to grad school, take this class! A very successful alumna.
