Very unorganized and a lot of outside reading, but this class was worth it. Prof. Sutton is one of the few psych profs with actual clinical experience. She's hard, but fair if you do the work.

I have mixed feelings about Karen. She's a really nice person and fun to talk to both in and out of class. However, like a lot of other people have said, her classes are not well organized AT ALL. There is a lot of outside learning that you need to do to keep up with the class because she is forgetful and confusing in her lectures.

The absolute worst of the worst in the psych department. Prof. Sutton is a laughably awful "professor". She is unhelpful, ignorant and rude. I despised her Personality Theory Class.

Horrible. lectures don't make sense and are boring, uses outdated empirical evidence, can't understand her own graphs half of the time, test questions are nonsensical, it's clear she no longer enjoys her job, picks favorites worse than anyone I have ever seen, and I could keep going... Easy in theory, but she makes it difficult.

I do not know what everyone else is talking about, Karen is incredible!!! I'll be honest I got a C in her class (I know not great) but this does not reflect on her as a professor. Karen exemplifies what college should be like. She is engaging, funny, and doesn't take crap from the jerks who want to "read minds" like on TV, THAT IS NOT PSYCHOLOGY

Very nice person, but a pretty mediocre teacher. She could've chosen more interesting reading material. When I took the class she was teaching it for the first time, so she may have improved on it for the second time around.

i absolutely love her. i don't know why everyone is so down on her. she's really good about considering how fair our midterm was, and is considering changing the grade. she's really into what she teaches and really very nice. i'm doing very well in the class with almost more work. reminded me why i wanted to be a psych major to being with.

Karen is not the world's worst. She's sometimes a little dull, but really knows her stuff and is willing to adjust her schedule to make sure the class is on track. Personality was not entirely as I expected, but it's by no means a bad class.

The worst teacher I've had so far at Oberlin. Her lectures are mind-numbing, and she is very, very stupid. She cannot understand nor repond to the questions the students ask, and she seems constantly threatened by any dissenting opinion. Stay far, far away, unless you really dig torture.

I think she's an amazing teacher, patient, answers questions, and is really sweet. She's also my advisor and is really helpful. She presents the material interestingly and always presents various studies to back up the theories. One problem-she allows stupid ppl to ask unimportant/irrelevent questions
