4-5 papers make up the final grade in the class. It was the best way to cap off my philosophy coursework as a senior because I didn't have to go to class, and I knew I would get an A on all of the papers without question.

Dr. Jeannot is a really sweet and quirky person. He wants and hopes to facilitate discussion but majority of the time he will just end up rambling off. Although this is the case he is very intelligent and likes to see your input into the course. He just has you write a short paper on a few of the readings but no tests or quizzes.

Funny lecturer, goes off on tangents. Get participation point just by showing up to class. One-page reflections about every week, pretty easy. Understands that this is a required class, so he tries to make it fun and simple.

Wrote seven 1 page reflections and a 3-4 page final reflection for class and that was literally the entire class. No tests, quizzes, or any other homework. As long as your paper is in english expect at least an A-

Good class if you want an easy A. No tests at all, but weekly reflections. His lectures are more so a rambling and often times you don't get to the point until right before class ends. He does take attendance though.

Sweet guy, but tends to ramble. He'll often get caught up on certain readings for several class periods and then barely mention others to make up lost time. You'll do a weekly reflection on what you learned in class. At the end of the semester you will have a 4-6 page paper. Easy A if you pay attention but you'll end up frustrated with him often.

If you are a student looking to get an easy A in Philosophy 300 and be extremely entertained by your teacher, then take Jeannot. I was disappointed taking this class since Jeannot simply lectures, often very scatter brained, and doesn't promote a lot of student participation or discussions, something I really enjoy. He is the kindest soul though.

Amazing professor - though a little scatterbrained and across the board in a lecture and often missing his intended topic entirely. Still, a brilliant guy who is usually pretty funny too. Classes usually have few to no tests or quizzes and focuses on a couple short reflective papers instead.

Prof. Jeannot IS an ACTUAL, PROUD MARXIST-that stated, he is the MOST kind, fair & honest professor at GU (a HARD CORE, LIBERAL SCHOOL- I would NEVER pay to send my kid(s) too) This is the ONLY class in 4 years that I felt ok stating my MODERATE political views. Just don't try to do it in any other class at GU (like I did), your grades WILL suffer!

THIS GUY IS GREAT! I laugh through his whole lecture because he is so hilarious but makes you think about philosophy in a different way. No tests. Nine two page papers that take max one hour to write. If you never have him as a professor you are seriously missing out! TAKE!!

Great guy, but he is an admitted, proud Marxist, but he is VERY fair & won't judge you. Feel free to express your political views, he'll respect you for it. You can't do that in most classes at GU, which is a VERY liberal school. Had some hard core Republicans in my class & he was ALWAYS respectful of them & never put them down, a rarity in college

Jeannot is very down to earth and personable. Brilliant mind, imo. One of my favorite classes - which is saying a lot, because 1. philosophy wasn't on my radar, and 2. Jeannot's political views couldn't be more different from my own. He was interesting, kind, articulate, and fair. Great teacher.

Ethics online summer class!! Very easy, just type some reading responses on blackboard and 1 or 2 reflection papers. Prof. Jeannot even individually emailed everyone their progress in the course and detailed responses to blackboard posts! I definitely recommend him!

Class is very interesting. Prof. Jeannot is highly knowledgeable in Philosophy. His lectures are always engaging and hilarious. This has been the only Philosophy class I have taken that I actually enjoyed and was worthwhile. The week "quizzes or reflections" were only required 4 times. 2 essays, no final.

Ethics class ONLINE over the summer. EASIEST CLASS EVER. You want to get your PHIL 301 class over with in just 6 weeks? This class has reading each week (and you don't have to do the entire thing) to write only a few paragraphs on Blackboard, then just TWO 4-page essays, and he grades them easy as well. And that's IT. Best decision ever.

Don not mistake the other students inability to comprehend the material and this mans lectures for him being a poor teacher. This man is brilliant and hilarious and any student that manages to make it through their Gonzaga career without taking a class from this institutional legend should demand a refund.
