Joel is great! This was by far the hardest class I have ever taken, but he made it tolerable. If you follow his advice, you will get a good grade. He is very accessible outside of class, so make sure you use him as a resource. He truly wants his students to understands the material. GO TO THE PROBLEM SOLVING SESSIONS! They are a lifesaver!

Professor Goldberg has interesting lectures, but they go off on tangents and wont prep you for HW or tests. Any problems he does do (like ones that will be on the test), he writes out on his powerpoint, which is super hard to follow.I got through this class by reading the textbook, working with my lab TA, and basically teaching it to myself.

Chem is really difficult, but Goldberg's lectures explain the textbook material as clearly as possible, and are sprinkled with much appreciated humor. Also extremely helpful in weekly problem solving sessions and very accessible if you are struggling. Chem was still v hard and there's no avoiding that but Goldberg made it better- would recommend

A really nice professor and person, but the lecture style was not for me. He goes over main concepts and knowledge, but does not give many example problems.

Goldberg is very quirky and keeps the lectures entertaining. He teaches at a good level for beginners while keeping those who have taken AP chem interested. He went beyond all the other CHEM 32 professors and hosted review sessions every Monday (very helpful)! If you do your homework you'll be fine in this class.

CHEM 031 was ridiculously hard for me, but Dr. Goldberg was very kind and tried to keep his lectures engaging. He's very accessible outside of class and held weekly review sessions on Mondays. He was always open to feedback and took his class very seriously.

I really enjoyed taking Goldberg's class. He really shows that he has passion for the subject matter and wants to pass on that same passion to his students. He lecture slides as easy to follow and he also holds a weekly problem session so students can improve for the exams, where there are 3 mid-semester exams and a cumulative final.

Goldberg is the best. Though attendance for CHEM 031 isn't mandatory, his lectures are very helpful for understanding the material. Additionally, he holds review sessions in which he goes over course material and homework problems - these are super helpful.

Goldberg is a very nice guy and his sense of humor is great. He talks slowly, which can make it hard to continue to pay attention, but you can tell he loves chemistry. He tries to make lab fun and his assignments are pretty easy for this course. I would recommend him!

Goldberg is a great dude. But to get a good grade in this class you need to spend roughly 2 hours a day on the homework. he makes you work for it.

He took a difficult class and made it easier. Everything in the class is very organized. If you put in the work it will pay off in his class. He gives good practice tests so be sure to look those over before tests. Also do the practice problems he suggests. He holds many review and problem solving sessions which are helpful. Awesome professor!
