I thought that Dr. Werner left the school back in 2013-2014, however, 3 years ago, I took a class with him, and trust me! Even though am not interested in Geography at all, but professor Werner changed that experience (I can't believe it, can you?). In any case, if you want to be happy, and be able to draw the World's map, take GEOG 113, now!

One time I missed the bus and was late for class because of work. Dr. Werner let me take it even though I showed up late. Great guy, interesting stories, would take again. If you are on the fence between sociology and this to satisfy reqs, definitely pick this class. You'll enjoy it and learn a lot.

Best prof I've ever had. World Geography was the most interesting, eye opening course I've ever taken. He's been EVERYWHERE, and teaches from personal experiences in countless countries. Incredibly smart, fair, thoughtful, and helpful dude.

Made the class very enjoyable and learning easy. He clearly loves his job and is always willing to help the students. End of the semester final seems scary (world map) but its actually not that bad.

Very knowledgable guy. He seemed to know a little bit about everything. I really enjoyed his world geo course and would take him again. Quite a bit of reading, but all of it seemed pretty relevant. He had been to almost every country, so he was able to break up lectures with pictures and stories.

Werner is a nice guy, I just didn't find the class very interesting. It is important to keep on top of the readings, because half of the test questions are from them. The map drawing on the final exam was not as hard as I thought it would be, & I only started studying for it a week before. Overall I would say he's a good teacher, but a boring class

This is a very enjoyable and interesting class. I definitely recommend it for a general course. Prof. Werner is awesome and has a ton of real world experience which he uses in class along with pictures of his travels. The "textbook" was a subscription to The Economist which which helpful for the 4 short papers. Don't be scared of the map final!

He is the most helpful, nicest and understanding professor I have ever had. He is always willing to help you with papers which are rewrite-able, the test are only hard if you don't do the readings and the final test where you have to draw the world map just needs continuous practice through out the semester, I would definitely recommend him.

He's so into his teaching, so it's really fun to learn from him. I learned a ton from this class and really enjoyed it. His tests are not hard if you study well and take good notes. Few assignments (short papers - easy), no reading. The final map drawing isn't bad if you study for it! Favorite class/professor I've taken. He is the best.

Good prof- tests are hard, but do the readings and study for tests and you'll do fine. Study for the final map before the finals week. Course schedule cycles in 3 weeks, 1 friday nothing, next friday paper, then test and so on. Not to difficult, stay up to dat on the readings.

Dr. Werner is one of the best Professors I've had so far. I loved Geography with him. He makes it interesting ALL the way through. His tests are simple if you go to class and study before the exam. No quizzes! Lots of exposure to other cultures. Take this class, you won't regret it. Werner knows his stuff and has a kind heart.
