Those of us taught by Dr Pollock were well prepared and often had to help other students once transferred to CSUN. He was inspirational and I have thought of him often through these 25 plus years. You'd be blessed to have Dr Pollock as a mentor. I hope he is well and still imparting wisdom to those smart enough to listen.

Pollock is hard, but only because he teaches a college level class, as he should. This is the kind of teacher that if you pay attention, you can learn a lot and the information will stick. He came after the original teacher had to leave and did the best he could do with the mess he was left with. Nice guy and a good teacher, would take him again.

Hes an alright teacher, he bases his quizzes off of the textbook modules and his tests are made entirely from the bold terms in the book.A bit old fashioned but youll learn the material. There was difficulty with a teacher change but it isnt his fault. The class picked on him a lot,but in the end he makes it clear how to pass, the effort is up to you

WORST TEACHER AT MOORPARK. Not willing to work with you at all! You can tell he has no interest in his students or helping them succeed. He said to our class something like he cant wait until its over. I DO NOT recommend this teacher at all! DONT TAKE HIM

He may come off a little harsh sometimes but he is a responsible prof. He requires daily quizzes, don't miss them! 3 exams and 1 research paper. I'm not sure if he will be teaching m01 again but i would recommend him as long as you can keep up with the readings. Not an easy A, but it is possible with determination.

Dr. Pollock is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. His classes are hard but if you apply yourself and are attentive in class he will reward that in your final grade. If you don't do the work required don't expect a god grade.

Get the 12th edition of the textbook! The 11th will not do, and is missing information. 20 question Quiz everyday! You MUST over study to get a good grade. Exam is based off previous quiz. You are allowed to write down answers when Pollock reviews the previous quiz! Very demanding and difficult class.

Do Not take this teacher. He is not clear about what he wants (which is what makes it hard), cannot manage to directly answer a question, and will not debate test grades. If you Must take him, attend class, read, ask questions all the time & do all the work. I never missed and was able to slide by with an A. Doable, but avoid Pollock if possible.

took him for intro, research methods, and biopsych b4 transfer to CSUN. Hard teacher (challenging). Demands your best. You do your best, he helps. You text in class, talk in class, try to cheat or slack, your grades show it. Dry humor. Knows his stuff. Realized since transferring that him being hard was kindest thing he could do for me.

Nice enough guy, needs a new job. Unclear of what he expects, a lot of the info from the book will be "wrong." Rambles about unrelated things, and will not listen to reason when an answer that you put down straight out of the book is marked wrong (it has happened twice so far and it has only been about a month of class).

He is a terrible teacher! He talks super slow and about nothing important. He talks about his own like and whines avout his life. And whines about other people's Nd how we don't know cretin things. He is completely outdated and needs a new job. He must think this is an English class.

This class is not at all easy!I got an A on it but it wasnt easy.Attendence is a must!it counts for 10% of your grade. you have a total of 5 tests and he drops your lowest, pretty fair. Def have to be reading the book and memorize all vocab. youre given 4 essay questions in each test and have to write 1 out of the 4. find someone else if youre lazy

likes to vent half the time about stuff that is unrelated to class, provides OUTDATED materials, is boring and does not care about students. he has said that other students are stupid! and that he will bump up your grade(if your borderline) if you "smile at him or have blue eyes or brown eyes". neurotic about grammar!! take any other professor!!!

There's a daily quiz (which has daily assigned reading, so procrastination is NOT an option, two papers, and a lot of lame jokes. This prof. expects his students to strive for their best, and he actually has a lot of good insight and advice if you are willing to listen.

This professor is (dry) funny. There are daily quizzes that are given at the end of the class, so the assigned reading is a MUST. There is a paper, but it's pretty straightforward. Overall, this professor wants his students to do well, & he certainly likes to express his frustration when they do not. He's neurotic, but the class is doable.

I would not recommend taking any of his classes. It's obvious that he doesn't want to be there. He's admitted that he has no idea of what's on our (MANY) quizzes and tests. The class is a lot of busy work, and a lot of memorization. Not worth it.

Comment:
Horrible teacher. He honestly think he knows EVERYTHING, but contradicts himself on a daily basis. He has really long lectures that are NOT helpful for the quizzes he gives at the end of each class. He gives the quizzes anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 minutes left in the class period.
