Comment:
Chuck is very basic with his teaching in this course. I have heard bad things about him but after one semester I was convinced everyone was wrong, but I often see people for better than what they are. He did help me when I needed, and I'm sure he loves his job, but he can be very short and rude sometimes.

He is more balanced then the other teachers and not has work heavy. For all those saying he doesn't teach wheel throwing well, its all about practice. He give good grades to those that make more than is required. I did not throw well but made a lot of things so got a good grade.

He has helped me improve a lot. He does not push students one way or another and is on the fence about things. He does it so you can be creative using yor OWN brain power. He's helped me learn to fire, sculpt, and throw. He's a happy medium in comparison to the other two teachers. I like the guy and I think he is good at what he does.

Unprepared for class, not familiar with subject matter. I have had him for other classes, too, and it was not good. He tries...sometimes...but mostly he is distracted, unfriendly, not supportive, has poor people skills, and has a tendency to attack about other professors and students behind their back.

Chuck is such a downer. He sucks at teaching. Yeah he class is pretty easy but he won't help you with anything, so let's hope you have a natural talent for ceramics. He has a attitude problem. I would not recommend him for anything, the projects he assigns are stupid and you dont learn anything different than high school. Take someone else!!!

i love chuck's class. it reminded me of a more indepth high school ceramics class, but that's the basis of the class i guess. you should be able to finish almost all of your projects in class - no homework is always nice. i would definitely reccommend taking him. everyone i talked to said they got an A in his class.

I really enjoyed Chuck's class. He might not be very helpful with wheel throwing, but I'd say he's the prof to take if you dont want alot of work, but still want to learn. If you want alot of work then take Rexrode. Or if you dont care to learn at all then take Steve.

out of the 3 profs. hes the best 1 I'd say. Unless you really want to work then take Rex. Steve is after you gain the foundation. Just get your stuff done and show him that you tried and come in during ur free time(hes always there)& u will be fine. Isnt really extremly helpful but tries to be!

If you have trouble learing stuff on your own(especially wheel throwing), don't take him! he's barely in the studio and leaves early for lunch, so don't think that you're gonna get any feedback from him until it's almost too late to do anything about it.

Great class, lots of fun. To a point he lets you experiment, but makes sure you're getting the foundation of it all.
