Easiest PS class to take. One night a week for 3 hours definitely worth it. I don't know how you can take this an not get an A. Scales tests by a lot each time and the HW are so easy. HW's are basically watching short video and answering the questions. High school type of class. Gives study guide with exactly what to know for tests.

The class is easy, but the expectations for an online summer course are a little bit high. We had discussions that were supposed to post in and if you didn't interact a certain number of times on other peoples posts, you would get a terrible grade. Lots of extra credit on the tests though, and the movie questions are really easy.

He's very smart and well-informed. I took the Intro to Oceanography night class so there were few of us and thus, he answered all questions and literally gave the answers to his assignments. If you do the work and study, the exams aren't too bad. At the end of the semester he gave us an optional extra credit assignment that saved my grade.

I took this for my PS gen-ed and it was an easy A. The lectures can be long and boring but they're only once a week and the assignments are wicked easy. There's only 3 tests and the final's not cumulative so you'll do well if you study a little. And there's tons of extra credit opportunities so it's really hard not to get an A in the class.

Geo 105, which meets once a week fulfills the PS gen-ed. Peter Panish gives extra credit on exams, etc. He also gives handouts with all the information (easier to understand if you read the book or pay attention in class). Class is boring, but he cares and wants the students to learn.

I usually get really bored really easily, but I thought Prof Panish was really interesting and easy to understand, so I'm not really sure why so many pep says he's so boring. He's a really nice good guy, and if you want to do well in the class he definetly gives you the chance to do so. Great prof! So glad I took the course with him!!

Took this class for a PS requirement and ended up loving it. Comprehensive handouts, clear explanations. You'll learn a ton and it's easy to do well. The lectures are information dense, but he's happy to go off topic and answer questions. Great course for scientific literacy, too.

Professor Panish is great! His class was the last class i added onto my schedule and probably my favorite. the meeting time was convenient and his lectures were great. you dun need to take much notes because it's all in the handouts...as long as you listen in class and just review the information before the test, you'll do fine. I got an A. =o)
