Professor Jones is super nice and explains thing pretty well. There isn't too much homework, just two 10 question quizzes per week. He gives a lot of extra credit so you can improve your grade even if you do bad on a few quizzes. Overall he is super nice and I would definitely take his class again!

Good guy but not the best professor. Disorganized but the class was so easy and there was hardly any work, just a short 3-5 question "quiz" after class. He was a lenient grader but if you're taking a harder math class I probably would recommend a different professor. He's great for 110 though because it's pretty easy even if you're bad at math.

I enjoyed this calculus class, he is a really nice guy, struggled a bit with technology at the start of the semester, but by the end he had it figured out.

Professor Jones' calculus class was one of the easiest math classes I have ever taken, he also gives many many many chances for extra credit throughout the semester. His lectures are a tad bit slow and sometimes a bit hard to follow, but good besides that. Be prepared for 2 easy quizzes per week which will be taken right after the lecture.

While this Professor is fairly easy to get along with, his communication skills outside of class are almost non-existent. From one word emails to forgetting to grade assignments, you have to basically teach yourself the information and then find out when he is most likely at his computer to receive an assignment/email. Unfriendly when called out.

As long as youre comfortable basically teaching yourself, youll be fine. Short homework assignments everyday and tons of extra credit. He takes it at a very slow pace so its not hard to keep up, but if you struggle with math, hes very unclear and usually I just look things up afterwards.

During a pandemic when its rather easy to work with students online, Professor Jones keeps assigning homework over the weekend. I'm fine with this. I'm not fine with the fact that I sent an email explaining how I am unable to print the homework and all he replied was "no" when I asked if there was a way to work around this. Now I'm forced to drop.

Easiest class I have ever taken at GV. He offers so much extra credit that at the end of the semester I could miss 70 points on the final exam and still receive an A. Lectures are a little disorganized, but you can teach yourself a lot of the material. I finished his 6 week online class in 2 weeks.

John Jones is a nice old man who moves very slowly and makes math INCREDIBLY easy. He has this "homemade" textbook, which is a bit strange but works fine. He tries to incorporate activities and stuff to make the class fun. Sort of felt like a high school class- but in a good way. I'm terrible at math but was able to excel in his class. Take him.

Lectures are hard to follow and often incoherent, you'll end up having to teach yourself the material or ask him for extra help. Classwork/Homework every day with a quiz each friday. Textbook is handwritten and also hard to follow. Grading is harsh at times and inconsistent. The material itself is easy enough to teach yourself though.

Prof Jones isn't an ok professor. Some of his teaching is a little weird & he will explain how to do certain concepts on the board, but then the homework is a little different. There's classwork & homework everyday & quizzes every Friday. He marks off points if you don't label the X & Y intercept or even put a negative sign, but I liked him

Horrible. Very confused. Doesnt provide any equations for anything, he just provides his own way of doing it and expects you to use that. Very little help is given, the textbook is handwritten and hard to follow. He also is never accurate with grading, he often gives zeros for completed work and takes weeks to change it, if at all

John Jones was my favorite professor this year! He made math so easy for me, when it has been so difficult in the past, helped me outside of class when I needed it, and was always willing to go out of his way to help me and all of his students. He is the nicest guy and the class was so easy because of all of the class time you get to ask questions!

There is a ton of homework, classwork, and a quiz every Friday. He never lectures, you basically teach yourself everything. He is also a very tough grader and is not clear on quizzes as to what he expects. For a beginning math class, I wish I would have had a different professor. Also handwrites his own textbook without clear explanations.

Classwork and homework everyday, quizzes every week, and he does a lousy job teaching things, he's really too old to still be here. He also marks off way too many points for forgetting something as small as a negative sign or to put "inches" after the answer

This class was EASY. All you have to do is attend lectures and do the homework. He offers a ton of extra credit. His study guides are JUST like the test. His lectures are short and simple, so I would suggest getting a tutor if you want extra explanation. Hes helpful as well. Great professor!

Disclaimer - I took calc AB in high school so this class was somewhat familiar to me. Prof. Jones supplies us with his own free pdf textbook, and on the homework he will give you points just for trying. Having a ti-84 plus ce in this class will give you an advantage. Class was 30-40 minutes of going over homework, then an example. Easygoing!

Jones was fine. He is just kind of losing it. He is not very organized in the way that he assigns homework or very clear on how it is actually graded. No textbook needed because he uploads pdf of a seemingly homemade textbook (odd). He is not very good at clarifying or answering questions. His hearing is also very bad so he talks loud.
