dont need book. 5 total exams including final. four of the exams had between 9-11 q's. the final was 28 q's. Will only drop one exam from 1-4. (about 10 pts each q's, multiple-choice & fill-in) 25 hw quizzes on canvas between 3-5 q's. (10 pts each q's). Quizzes & exams are timed. Zoom calls MWF. Take tutoring if you're not good at calc. Very good Calc teacher. I am pretty good at math, and his classes were recorded, with optional attendance. Very good at explaining things, and very willing to answer questions. Homework was done on webwork, and 4 tests total plus the final exam. Very good professor, and definitely would take again.

Im taking this online, spring 2021. Best professor Ive had in a long time. Makes math so easy. I read through some of his ratings and some bad ones dont make sense to me. Everyone does great on the tests because theyre easy and you have an hour for only 10 questions. Im passing this class bc of the professor with an A and Im not a math person.

You will get a good grade in this class because of the teacher. Quizzes and homeworks are both short, easy, only one of each a week. The exams also short and simple. Clear grading and he even drops multiple of your lowest grades. No need to buy an expensive book or website. He is the best option to take if you need help in math and want an A!

Professor Burnap is absolutely amazing, the best math teacher I've had in years. He goes over every little thing so carefully and makes sure you understand every concept, his tests and quizzes are easy as long as you understand what he's teaching you. He's really great at explaining

Burnap can't see very well, which isn't his fault, but it means his handwriting is almost impossible to read. The class is very complex anyway, so you want as much clarity as possible. His lectures aren't bad, but the subject matter can be dry. The tests are very hard (class avg was like a 60), and there's a lot of homework to get through each week

He is the most amazing teacher Ive ever had. He doesnt just start out with calc but he helps you understand the algebra first. Makes learning super easy and fun. Does not use Hawkes learning like other professors. He makes it easy for you to actually learn and get a good grade in this class.

Dr B is very nice and is a sweet man, however all of his assignments have very few questions which kinda sucks. The small class assignments are 3 or 4 questions and the tests are only 9 11 questions. So your grade can drop very fast. I am really good at math and almost got a B because the short assignments. He does drop a few things at the end tho.

he was nice but I do not learn well with his teaching style. he just gets out a blank piece of paper and starts doing problems, which there was a packet or something to go through with him. homework isn't long but you only get one opportunity and only a few q's. tests are manageable but randomly on the final he wanted cameras on for some reason.

I'm not great at math and personally it was hard to follow Dr. Burnap in class. His handwriting can be hard to read at times. Not really a fan of his teaching style and often things worked on in class do not match up with webwork assignments, quizzes, and tests. If you're good at math this may not bother you, or be prepared to learn on your own.

He makes things harder than what it has to be. I learned more from YouTube than him. I have a good grade in his class because Im pretty good in math, but If you struggle with math dont take him.

In spite of the fact that he frequently drops his chalk, he does quite a good job explaining complex subjects in a clear manner. He made calculus semi enjoyable. Maybe not semi enjoyable, but not miserable. And that's a tall order, from my point of view.

Great teacher. I thought was very clear and basic in his explanations. Sit in the front if you can, and be prepared to follow along closely as he moves quickly. If you come prepared it will be a great class. I definitely had to do a lot of studying to understand the concepts and in the end, it paid off versus some of my fellow student's grades.

I don't normally leave reviews about professors but Dr. Burnap is amazing. If you are struggling with math like I am, take him!! He makes calculus super easy to understand. You can clearly tell that he cares about his students and is always there to help if you need it. Seriously he makes math so easy, if it wasn't for him I wouldn't pass.

Professor Burnap is a cool dude, and you can tell that he really cares about his students. The only drawback is that the material he puts on the test sometimes don't match the study guide or is more difficult than what was on the study guide. Attendance isn't mandatory so that's a plus, but if you aren't good at math, definitely got to class.

Dr. B is a pretty good teacher, he can go fast sometimes but he will always stop or slow down for questions. Practice tests are very similar to the tests he gives. Don't bother buying the textbook, I never used it once. He also does not take attendance and posts notes on Canvas. He can be very boring but at least he doesn't have an accent.

Burnap is awesome! Teaches from a chalkboard and his handwriting can be scribbles sometimes, but he really does his best to teach the class as easy as possible. Homework almost every night but its the exact stuff he goes over in class. He understands students are busy and doesnt try to make their lives harder.

Cool Guy. Takes breaks to tell stories. 4 Tests and Cumulative final. Test guides are online basically the test just with some extra problems. Form a study group and meet those in your class at the library it will help alot. His handwriting kind of sucks but its no big deal. Super nice guy.

Comment:
He teaches the material in a very abstract way instead of being straightforward. Tests are 60% of your grade, then only puts 8-10 questions on tests. There's no multiple choice. Puts question marks on tests instead of corrections. Homework is only 10% in total. Lectures are not recorded and does not post notes online. Uses same wording as textbook.
