Comment:
Imagine taking Einstein and putting him as your professor. He's extremely smart, which is why he has trouble teaching this. He forgets that we dont know everything he does (and admits this), so flys through his lectures with very little explanation. Lectures go 0 - 100 REAL QUICK. He asks "any questions" but you wont even know enough to ask things

Resourceful on the subject and can help you if you approach him on your own. He is one of the those kinds of prof that asks:"any questions? No? Okay, going on......"

Comment:
He is an extremely nice prof, who is very helpful one on one. The course is very difficult and dry so it is difficult to teach. Vetzal does his best and he knows his stuff inside out. The exams are impossible to finish and very difficult with low 50s averages. But he bell curves like crazy so most people end up doing fine. Overall, a decent prof.

Comment:
Overall,Ken takes an extremely complicated and convoluted topic like Fixed Incomes and turns it into a well-organized and thought-provoking course that really sheds some light on some of the dark corners of finance. Assignments are kind of annoying, but doable.Tests are considerably harder, but his bell curves tend to ease any worries about marks.

Comment:
He is so insightful and clear in teaching that not taking his courses (475, 474) will be a loss to any SAF student. Exams are somewhat difficult but shouldn't be much of a problem if you did and understood his problem sets. Not testing institutional material on the finals was a smart move as well.

very thorough problem sets, but aren't reflective of difficulty of midterms and final. the final exam was brutal, but his huge bellcurve set it all straight...=D .. if you're a slacker, his bellcurve will make sure you pass this course!

Goes through material far too fast. His testing is fair if you do his problem sets. But final was brutal....far too hard and not enough time. Otherwise, he's a pretty nice man.

First and second midterms are medium-hard if you know problem sets, read over lecture notes quickly, then do problem sets. Final was brutally hard - just waaay too much material to be covered. And his assignments are marked too hard - make sure you include everything. Vetzal's a really nice man

A very good prof in general...but he moves far too fast in class and the material is really hard to grasp. His testing is a little on the tough side but he is in general a really nice guy and very willing to help his students out.
