Worst professor I have ever encountered in UW. By all means, stay away from his course. I agree with one of the other comments here: He will not give you any assignment marks/feedback until the course evaluation is complete. He cannot teach anything and in the end he expects you to know more than him in semester final exam and you will be screwed.

Honestly, this guy puts the whole damn class to sleep. Everyone is capable of just logging onto ace and downloading his lecture slides. I truly recommend bringing other things to do in his lecture such as discrete math or calc.

Worst professor I've ever encountered at UW. Does not know how to teach. Rambles on about his experiences in the industry and reads from the slides. Did not learn a single thing from him. If you want to do well in his course, learn stuff on your own.

All examples from outdated experience. Very picky when marking reports. Judges people by face and fluency of English. Very claver when handing out marks...waits until prof evaluation is done. Not a professional enough to be a prof for a grad course.

He was not very good at teaching the course. However, since it was a programming course, I'm sorta glad he decided really teach it. Cause seriously, programming requires lots of self learning, if the prof fed us the code, I would not have been able to get such a high mark in the course. However for upper year courses, I would hesitate 2 say the sam

A very good and friendly man with some solid background experience. He sometimes digs too deep into computer structures (heap and stacks are unnecessary) and not enough into the object-oriented design, but it's really something you need to think about and practice. The course was relatively simple and a ton of help is provided.

Worst professor experience at UW. Seviora just does not care about the students or the course. He is very lazy and extremely difficult to contact outside of class (phone, fax, emails, office visits). He should be fired.

Teaching style is OK -- the course notes/slides aren't the greatest, but they do the job. Overall, he knows his stuff. The textbook for this course is quite good and you can rely on it -- it's also tightly coupled with the course notes, which is helpful. His exams are THE BEST! He is very very lazy and takes questions off old exams all the time.

In iiiindustry, system phones you! He's pretty boring, his lecture notes almost exactly regurgitate the text. If I weren't an audio learner, I'd have skipped the class; however, he does try to help you when he can, and his little stories are a break from his monotonous speaking.

Totally incompetent in both subject area and teaching. He was teaching a programming course which actually involved this thing call math. He didn't understand the first thing about math, and was too much of a jackass to admit it.
