She is a delightful lady who has been teaching this subject for years. Wayyyy too much reading and homework for one semester. This one class has more reading and work than all of my other classes combined. But, she does make herself available. The material is relevant and somewhat interesting to the subject taught. (ENG for science majors.)

Personally she is a great professor she knows what shes talking about. To be honest, she assigns entirely WAy TOO MUCH reading... Im a full time student and full time manager. My schedule is already busy enough, If you have a demanding job after class, do not take her class. If you are able to give 100% yourself to school, go for her!

Shes an ok professor but if you get on her bad side it will shell take it out on you when she grades her papers. Way too many books to read and too many movies to watch. The class wld have been 1.5hr class instead of the 3 hours which she rants off about something. She does have a blog which does help with the material she covers in class.

the most boring, repetitive, uninformative class i have EVER taken- it's an upper level course, but she reminds us to staple our papers. sitting in that class is tedious. people are falling asleep- the material is fit for 6th graders. attendance mandatory but we don't do nething but listed 2 her repeat herself and go off on tangents- do NOTtake her

Thought Moody was a perfectly fine professor. I would recommend going to class though, im sure you can do just fine without it, but she does remember those who only show up on test days. Come to class do the work and you're fine. She will occasionally go off on some random political rants, dont bite. Help via e-mail was virtually non-existent.

Dr. Moody was a wonderful teacher: helpful, fair grader and fun. We read books and watched the movies based on the books! She knows her subject (she is very passionate about it,) she even has blogs about the books we read for the class. Her goal is to make you more critical and obviously to make you a better writer. One of my best courses so far!

English 302 is supposed to be about research and synthesis. I took Moody for a SCIENCE section and the whole class was reading novels and poetry - and tons of it. Really useless class. Take someone else who follows the curriculum.

She was good and very fair. Attendance was definitely mandatory and you needed to get there on time, but if you pay attention and do the work, the class is worth it.

English courses have always been my weakest subject. I learned to love writing because of her class! Her class is mentally stimulating, and the books read were entertaining and thought-provoking. Plan to work hard! She cares about students and learning. She responds promptly to emails, and was always available during office hours. Great course!

Moody is a great teacher and the books and assignments are very interesting & she gives them to you to make you think. You must think in this class. You will not glide through this class but you can learn a lot if you apply yourself. English is not my strong suit.

I don't understand why anyone is complaining. Sure, there are lots of books to read and essays to write, but it's all easy work. She might be a little kooky, but she is also very helpul. I got an A+ in her class by completing all assignments and re-editing my work for the final hand in. Fair.

She is a good prof. come to class and do all the work she asks. Don'd disagree with her, and if you do keep it to the minimum. She allows students to re-submit their work for better grade.

If you dont like english, do NOT take her. She is a very unfair grader & even admitted in class "I dont like to give A's, I tend to give mostly B and B+" She does not justify her reasoning at all! Wayy to many books to read(9 she expects you to read her mind on what she wants for essays. She also talked to us like we were 5th graders.

She is by far one of the best professors in the English department. We read some of the most interesting material over the semester as well as watched interesting movies. If you work like you want an A in this class then she'll recognise that and give you an A. But if you expect her to freely award an A, then that isn't going to happen.

Very rude to her students. Has to talk about politics every class. If you are anything but far far left wing most comments will make you say "what?" but maybe that was just me. You have to do a lot of reading in this class and a lot of papers. It could be that all 302 teachers are like her, I don’t know, but I can say i hated going to her class.

i dunno what every1's complaining about. I got an A+ in this class; my first A+ in college. I admit, the finak is alot and stressed me out: final 5 page essay, 3 book reviews, 1 film review, but I'm good at writing. Basically, if you hate writing you should probably take someone else because it's not an easy A class.

Worst professor I've had yet at Mason. Rude in emails. Misunderstands books frequently. Repeats herself ad nauseam. Picks clear favorites and sticks with them. Unrelated to her teaching, but she looks like she probably smells. This is not coming from a Math major. I'm a former English major, and she is seriously the absolute worst.
