I loved having Professor Engle. I thought this class would be a bore but he actually made me love it and I would definitely take more film classes. He makes you work for your grade but he is always there to help when needed. Highly recommend!

Genuine dude, is very passionate about what he teaches. And he basically uses the study guide as the test. If you don't have to time to actually read, this probably isn't the class for you, but if you don't mind the reading it should be an easy A. Can miss like 5/6classes before he drops a letter grade, but too many skips and you'll fail.

Professor Engle is great! He makes the readings very interesting through the class discussions. Class meetings are basically just a discussion of the previous night's readings, and he appreciates when students participate! He is also very understanding, kind, and passionate about the subject. I would definitely recommend his class!

For a ENG 200 class Dr. Engle is fantastic. He makes it very clear what he expects out of his students and is willing to answer any question a student may have. Very helpful and very nice. Compared to my ENG 100 teacher I am grateful to have him.

If you like history this is a good class to take. The readings can be a bit difficult to understand bc they are ancient texts, but it is usually about 30 pages per lecture. It's an easy lecture to get through bc he is very engaging with the class and it's all discussion. The book is heavy! In all I would take him again.

I had Dr. Engle for ENG 100 last year and he is an excellent professor. He is someone you can really talk with about the material and he will provide helpful feedback for anything you struggle with in the class. There are numerous assignments that you are given but if you just listen in class and do what he says, you'll pass with no problem.

Engle is a pretty good professor. The class is easy, and he gives you a study guide for each test, but his lectures can get very boring very fast. He takes attendance, and if you miss too much, you fail... so don't do that. Overall, it's an easy class with a good professor.

This man is wonderful in his lecture because there is clear explanation and connection between topics. He keeps you focused with open discussion in class. He is notorious for letting you out early whenever possible. He is very approachable and helpful when asked.

He is an excellent professor. Very knowledgeable about the subject matter. You watch clips from great movies in class. I always felt very well prepared for his exams because you have a thorough review the class before.

This class was so much fun. Definitely try to take it if you are interested in films. Professor Engle is really enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the subject matter. The exams were fairly easy and he gives you study guides that tell you exactly what will be on the exams. His lectures were always entertaining.

He's the most precious thing ever. However, you will be bored unless you take notes. The reading can be dry but it's generally not necessary to read if you pay attention to what he says will be on the exam.

Pretty difficult. Grades based on grammar and punctuation not on content, make sure to proff read your papers multiple times. Not real helpful, doesn't read rough drafts, makes you do peer reviews. Topics for papers are very boring to write and read. DONT RECOMMEND HIM!!

Love the red hair :) Wonderful teacher. A lot of fun. Gives a lot of background information which allows you to have more appreation. Really cares about his students. I am taking him as a professor again.
