Comment:
This was a grad. level class, with a few MBAs, but mostly humanities students taking it as a requirement. As an MBA I thought the class was beyond easy, and very slow. He is not the best at explaining the concepts, but they are not really that tough if you have some understanding of econ. Tests were very easy. The project requires a lot of work.

Dr. Turner is incredibly knowledgeable on this material, one of those professors that actually makes you feel like you're in a college class. The material is difficult to get accustomed to, but he gives you the exam question pool on the syllabus. Have to write a 5pg.book report and a journal (5, 1-2 pg. entries). Focus on him, not notes!!

If you can make out his chicken scratch on the board then you must have superman vision. His lecture is a mix of current topics and a half-hearted attempt at explaining the material. If you can self-teach yourself the material then go for it. However, beware that his graphs in class are not in the book. Otherwise, I would have probably aced it.

Very understanding professor, but not extremely flexible. He insists on writing on the board, but his handwriting is horrible. He is also lost without his "teachers edition" so don't expect a lot of help unless it is available in the teachers edition. The group project is a nightmare and I really don't think he reads them all, if he reads any.

Project was annoying!!! test were average, not too easy but not too hard either! A very nice teacher though, and fair, but I think he is the best economics teacher at ODU really understands his students.

I took him like 2 years ago and I think he is the only teacher that I can actually understand Economics from, but his test are no joke. You have to study hard! the Blue book we can use helps a little though. Take him if you want to actually Learn!

Professor Turner does make things very easy by basically giving you every possible question to be asked on the exam--he also lets you write as much as you want (formulas, example problems, etc.) in a blue book before the exam to use on the exam. The group project is kind of a pain, but overall, the class was pretty easy.

Highly recommended. Prof Turner makes economics seems interesting. Very helpful and understanding. Prior to the exam you know exactly what's on the multiple choice test, you're allowed to use a book book during the exam with your formulas & notes included. Great instructor!!!!
