Still remember asking him about the corn laws....walking outside in between classes....I just didn't get it. He helped me understand "rents".....and the politics and psychology that affect economic decisions. Really turned on the light bulb for me.

Lectures arent really lectures he just talks and u need to learn to knwo what to write n what not to coz he doesnt point things out alot. Exams were kinda easy, pulled off an A without ever touching the text book...hes kinda an ass in person and not really helpful...thinks hes the #1 historian in the world...

Easy class, very little book use needed. Interesting lectures for an econ class. His grading is very liberal, on a 3 point question the lowest score you can get is 1 point. Anything approaching an answer gets you 2 of 3. A person would have to try hard to get lower than a C in this class.

One of the worst professors I have ever had at State. The more he talked, the less I understood. Incredibly monotonous; unable to clearly explain his material...

Also Econ 380; Not an econ major but took him several times because I WANTED TO LEARN and found him fascinating. Studied my --- off as his classes are not easy but got A's. He is very cool which makes him hot in a nerdy kinda way.

HE IS COMPLEX. YOU WILL HAVE TO LEARN ON YOUR OWN. DONT WAIST TIME. IF YOU WANT A PASSING GRADE TAKE HIM, IN EXAMS HE IS LOOKING FOR SPECIAL WORDING IN WHICH HE BASE THE SCORE. HIS WORDING TO THE EXAM QUESTIONS IS BASED ON LECTURE, MOST LIKELY YOU WILL NOT REMEMBER, YOU WILL LOSS HIM DURING THE FIRST FIVE MINITES.

Interesting class. As a Single Subj. SS major this class tied up a lot of loose ends that were not covered in History classes. Not difficult, no math necessary, good class for ppl afraid of Economics. Waaay better than Money & Banking.Format has changed. Four exams, each with mult choice and short answer coupled with a take home easy 1-2 page essay.

For an econ class it wasnt that bad. Kinda boring. It was more of a history class than econ. 11 Quizzes (4 short answer questions on each quiz), drops lowest quiz grade. I just studied the notes I took in class and got a B+.

Very hard subject, the teacher knows his stuff which can be confusing for us. Tests are hard but there are great curves and he allows optional exams that replace a test grade...he tries to make it easier to get a better grade.

He is very hard but I think thats only because he makes the class confusing. He gives huge curves since everyone scores so bad on his test. You could pull of a C+ with just doing everything he asks for.

OK, I HATE Econ... but this class wasn't that bad. It's not the most interesting class but there are NO papers and NO final... only 11 quizes and one is dropped. Just read the pages he tells you to and you should do fine.

This was the worst class ever! The teacher is very boring and tests are difficult because he words them so crazy that you don't even know what he is talking about. I studied pretty consistantly & did only so so on the tests. Each exam has only 30 questions but since the class did so bad he had to give everyone 8-14 points. Do not take this class!

I actually found him kind of interesting. Gave out 11 quizes, very easy if you dont go to class. The quizes only 4 ?'s but he gives reading pgs in class. Not so bad class, an A is 87%

He's the worst teacher I've EVER had. Doesn't help; horrible lectures; unorganized, jumps back and forth through chapters (ex. Ch.20 to Ch. 18 back to Ch. 20 to Ch. 14 all in the same class period); does not use same language as book, so studying is difficult. Blames poor performance on students, oblivious to poor teaching. Avoid like the plague!

smart guy knows a lot of facts. Tests aren't the easiest thing around. But if you go to class and take good notes and skim the chapters you'll be fine. grades on a pretty big curve, so just hope you are in a class of dumb****s. he can put you to sleep if your aren't careful.

The worst teacher I've had at SDSU and I've had a lot of bad teachers. Won't explain things if you have questions. You can't understand his speedy lectures or geek language. He's there to show off his knowledge, not teach. The whole class is getting D's on the impossible tests. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
