Comment:
Absolutely horrible professor. Not professional whatsoever. He's odd, his teaching style is scattershot and makes no sense. His tests and notes are all handwritten and are borderline illegible, let alone disorganized. Unclear test questions. Curves pretty well, but I should have just passfailed. Least enjoyable class I've taken at Albany.

Really not as bad as everyone says. Yes he may be a bit eccentric and is a complete stranger to non-hand written notes and test. However if you have the proper math prerequisites and actually read the book some time his class isn't very difficult. Additionally many students seem to neglect this so everything ends up with a steep curve.

An awful class;an awful person. Class is like having an hour long phone call and all you hear is static. If you have a great interest for the material, you may hear a few things he says and nod your head, yes; but don't fool yourself, there's nothing good about him. Towards the end of the semester you will feel bad for him.

This was one of the worst, most difficult classes I have ever taken. It was so confusing that I didn't even know what to ask when given the opportunity. The questions we'd do in class is nothing like the questions on the test. The way the Professor wanted the questions to be answered wasn't clear either. Everything being open note didn't help.

His odd mannerisms can make lectures difficult to follow, but his 204 class is a breeze. The tests, all of which were open note, had a wicked curve and if you get an A/A- average, you're exempt from the final.

This professor is largely underrated. He cares greatly about his students and teaching them; he's eccentric and hard to follow at times, but if you pay attention and ask questions everything he says makes perfect sense.

This guy is a nightmare. You will not be given any sort of introduction to the course at all. Basically you walk in the first day and he just starts raving and writing hard to read formulas on the board without any explanations. He just goes on and on writing formulas and babbling incoherently. Abandon all hope ye who enter here.

AVOID THIS CLASS AT ALL COSTS!!! Professor Hunt is absolutely ridiculous. He teaches random, unconnected mathematical models that neither the grad or undergrad students can understand. His tests are so damn hard he has to curve them insanely -- for me, a 42 was a B and a 36 was a B-. This class blows, but is required for CS majors. Good luck.

He is not the clearest of professors, but he is willing to work with you and help you. It is a very hard class that he has to teach, but he does it.........with assistance of constant studying on your own or in a group. Not the clearest either, but you will understand every other other other other thing he says.

Oh boy! His exams were crazy. When I was taking one of his midterm exams, the total score you could get in that exam was some 300-400 marks. The highest score someone got in that exam was 32. I thought I got 18 or something and managed to pull C+. That class was waste of my money. Learned anything? Nada.

I love programming and computer science. Harry Hunt makes me wish I did not. In all seriousness: I am much more likely to recommend that my precollegiate friends and associates AVOID SUNY Albany's CompSci program because of this man.

When he was at Columbia, he was the lowest rated professor ever. He admits that he has been in psychotherapy many times, generally choosing a behaviorist, and it hasn't done much good. If it is at all possible, avoid this professor!

Passing Hunt's classes: go through the packet material with a solid math student and identify all the math techniques he's using. Get help from a math major. Now when you go to the test, the fact that the test questions have almost nothing to do with what was shown in class won't hurt you as much. (Also, CSI 204 == easier CSI 401, good pract

I saw him a couple weeks ago and have yet to get the memories of his class out of my head. I thought I blocked them out for good long ago, but seeing him made them all come back. Nightmares! Braaaaaaaaains! BRAAAAAAAAAAINS!
