Took this class in Spring of 2013. I wasn't really interested in the class at first but Mr. Salinas made attendance quite pleasant. He's a really cool dude. He adds a lot of his personal experiences to the lecture and that's what kept me interested. All the lecturing is from the book and you will only have to write two papers.

Horrible teacher!!! The class is called Intro to the Psychology of the Mexican American and we NEVER talked about psychology. He talks about himself, his career, and his childhood every class. We learned about nothing but how underprivileged latino children are. There are no tests and no homework only very confusing essays which he refuses to explain

I had the Racism class with the 3 instructors and Salinas was last. Save the worst for last! He never listened to anything anyone said and just wanted to talk about himself. I get it! He's Hispanic/Chicano, whatever. If he is getting his Ph.D, anyone can. He also threw a paper at us last minute. We never did discuss Native American racism.

Really nice guy. Didn't like that everything he talked about related to his culture (Hispanic). Fair, dedicated. Respectable.

This guy is terrible. His classes are unstructured. His teaching method encourages laziness since there are no tests in the class. If you want an easy grade , you should take his class.
