Allison is amazing. She really cares for her student's education. She takes the extra mile to explain things to you and help you. She boosts your confidence when you feel low and is tough on you when you need it. We need more teachers like Allison.

By far the BEST instructor I've ever had. She is an excellent teacher, cares about her students, and pushes them to think for themselves and develop better learning habits. Definitely a tough course, but Chem is supposed to be, and she's a bit of a stickler when it comes to grading, especially in the first year. But she ain't gonna hurt ya baby!

Alyson has made chemistry my favorite class. She is an amazing teacher who is able to relay the concepts of chemistry in a way that makes sense. Her style of teaching is by far the best I have come across, she challenges you to apply the concepts and discourages memorization! In fact, I have had to memorize only 2 things! And she is really nice too

Allyson was probably my favourite part of studying at Selkirk College, no other prof can provide the experience she does. Allyson's lectures are hilarious, full of character, charisma, and passion. Her tests are fair yet challenging, and her marking is the most fair of all profs. 10/10

I don't understand why someone would give her an overall rating of 1 in here. Yes, she is a tough grader especially if you're not careful with sig figs but overall, she is an excellent prof. The student who gave her a rating of 1 is probably one of those who doesn't put much effort in studying but somehow expects a grade of A+.

Good Luck. Incredibly hard marker and is not willing to help you succeed if you aren't a genius. I had her for Organic Chemistry in 2015 and she treated her students as if they were incompetent. By far the worst experience I have had with a professor.

Probably the most intelligent prof at this school, and, without question, the most passionate educator I've ever had. She is an incredibly hard marker, but that is because her standards and calibre of teaching are very high which is a benefit to the student.

Lectures are engaging, and she is very organized and methodical. Don't under-estimate the class though! Major emphasis on understanding vs. memorizing, and prepares you well for future studies. Tests are tough if you try to memorize. Ask questions, she's very helpful! One of the best prof's I've had.
