Decent teaching, but Ms. Jimison is very nice and she even worked out a chemical equation for a certain rocket fuel/oxidizer combination that I had a question on and gave it to me before lecture started.

Ms. Jimison likes her students to do things exactly the way she does it, even if her way is ridiculously less practical.

Unless you are good at chem, be prepared to struggle. Her lectures aren't clear, and it's hard to ask questions. 70% of your grade is exams(45% tests 25% final) so don't take studying lightly, they are difficult tests and she doesn't curve. Labs are cool, but difficult. USE THE TUTOR, he is very helpful and knows what she wants.

Professor Jimison has clear lectures. If you copy her lecture notes several times, you have a great shot at the exam. Her exams are moderate. She is available for questions and more than willing to help. Great energy.

I'm a straight A student and have never had to drop a class before, but I had to drop this class and delay myself a year from graduating on time because that is how disorganized she is. Questions aren't welcome during lecture, and doesn't engage students. Instead, she teaches as if she's just thinking out loud as she works through examples.

Professor Jimison is such a tough grader. Her tests are really tough and she doesn't even give them back. She'll assign a date before finals to look at all your previous tests.

Jimison isn't a terrible teacher she just isn't great. Her lectures seem like they are significantly longer than they actually are and you should expect to fill up a notebook with notes. Tests get significantly more difficult the farther into the semester you get. Find a good study buddy because you'll need one.

This is a warning, do not take Jimison. She does not answer any questions, does not return emails, and is never in her office. I am usually an A student, not in this class, her tests are incredibly hard and unfair given the level at which she lectures. Just avoid her if at all possible.

It's all true: tough grader, long lectureslabs, can be snippy. But she is a great teacher. I rarely had to reference the book to clarify a concept. I always knew what I was doing in lab (& more importantly why). She used model kits to make things easier to see. Tip for Chem211: bring color pens, highlighters & TONS of whiteout to lecture.

Jimison is far from impressive. I took her class thinking she was awesome due to referrals. I went into her office numerous times for help and once she actually told me to come back later. During lecture she skips examples and tells us to go back and calculate on our own time. She taught us things wrong and the lab instructor took points away onFAL

My biggest complaint... You can't ask questions in class. I've never had a teacher that was so confusing and wouldn't answer your questions. She seemed like she might be a nice lady, but she wasn't one of my greatest teachers. She would jump around and was always behind what the lab was doing. Thank god I had a good lab instructor that clarified!

Teacher is awesome. Jimison is willing to help you get that A you want. You have to apply yourself it is NOT an easy A. I learned so much stuff and love how I can apply it to my life. Atleast the biochemistry part of the class. Super interesting class but this isn't for you if youre lazy.

I'm taking intro to organic chem 211 with jimison. I wouldn't say she's easy because she doesn't just give you an easy A or B... However she sets you up to do good on all tests by doing examples that are like the test questions. Homework is a must even though it's only 5% of grade it prepares you. Study a lot and you can get an A. Time consuming.

Had Mrs. Jimison for Chem210FL. Loved her. She's willing to help but the way she explains the content in her lectures is so clear that I never had to go to office hours. I also had her as my lab instructor, no complaints. She's really nice and funny too when you get to know her. If you are serious about your education, I would highly recommend her.

Very to the point teacher, test grades are weighted much heavier than hw or labs. Make sure you have significant figures DOWN, don't ask stupid questions in lecture, and you'll do fine.

if you can suffer through lectures and pay attention you'll do great. she has a tenancy to over explain everything which takes up time, but its helpful when you dont understand the subject. her lectures are hard to stay awake in, and dont get caught on your phone! i don't recommend her as a lab instructor

Unorganized and behind the times. Does'nt post grades online and it takes her weeks to get them back to students in class. Test are confusing because wording used is not cohesive with text and homework practice questions. There's quite a bit of multiple choice which is ridiculous when addressing stoichiometry and other long equations. Good Luck!

Great teacher if science is not your thing. If science is stay AWAY! She teaches to a non-scientific mindset, I love math and science and any question above her knowledge she takes offense too. She's not a scientist and teaches for memorization NOT for understanding. If this is your first lab and are new to science then by all means take this class
