Please try to avoid taking this professor. He does not reply to emails, doesnt teach you everything he expects you to know, etc. However, if you do have to take him, he uses his lecture ex and mastering hw on quizzes & exams. If you actually want to learn the material, at least skim the textbook before lectures and do the ec book questions.

the worst teacher I ever had, avoid him. doesn't care about his students. never answers emails. assigns a lot of homework even when they don't help to prepare for quizzes and exams. he's a lazy teacher. take Dr. Clark instead. when I mean he is the worst, students tried to have him fired. so that means something. good luck if you do take him.

The worst class I've ever taken at Cuesta. His presence in class is close to none and all he gives is busy work. The class average is less than 50% so far because he doesn't lecture or introduce subjects. He gives you a few examples and sends you off to do MP and problems out of the book. Never responds to emails and his labs have a lot of mistakes

This is the most poorly organized online class I've taken. Quizzes test you on concepts not covered, lab instructions seem purposefully vague and confusing, and good luck getting your questions answered through e-mail.

This is by far the toughest class I've taken at Cuesta. Not because of subject but because of the professor. He misses scheduled Zoom meetings, he doesn't answer any emails, and he doesn't check labs that he's designed for consistency so questions will ask you about something that wasn't tested. Honestly a mess for a subject that is so cool.

Is terrible at letting students know when assignments are due or even if they were assigned, lectures are super boring and sometimes don't even reflect the topics on the homework.

Does a very poor job of explaining the class's content. Does all of his teaching through poor examples that aren't even remotely clear. However, he does an amazing job at not informing us what we actually need to learn and bets on you extrapolating information from said poor examples. If you're great at teaching yourself, you'll pass.

Eickemeyer is a fair professor that should be taken very serious. The class is very fast paced and the minute you feel unsure of something, go ask.

He was a fine teacher, her was sick a lot throughout the semester so it was a lot more self teaching than I think other students could handle. i took the 208AX class along with this and did just fine.

Eickmeyer does not prepare you at all for the tests. None of what he prepared us for correlated to what was on the final. The only thing that saved me was an old test because he just rehashes the tests over and over. His lectures are sloppy, he just derives stuff without saying his end goals and he does not highlight the necessary things to know.

Let's just cut to the chase here; Dr Eickemeyer will NOT prepare you for a 4-year university. Having transferred to Poly, I so so wish I had taken Clark for Phys A (I took him for B). I feel so unprepared in my other engineering classes. Do yourself a favor and take Clark. He'll make you work for it, but it's 100% worth the effort.

He makes a lot of jokes when people aren't paying attention. Show up to class and get extra credit, if you try you can get almost 33% extra. Arguing points back on the free-response for the midterm is helpful, he just glances at it. If you get stuck, still try, he's just looking for approach and math, you might get mostly full credit for garbage.

I took Eickemeyer for PHYS 208A,B, and C, and got over 100% in each class. Key to success: Know every example from the notes (including random examples you wouldnt think he'd test you on), and every problem he assigns from the book. If you can do them all you will be fine. Quizzes are exact copies of the book problems he assigns. Lots Extra credit!

LOTS of homework. Lectures were entertaining, in class work was fairly easy, then tests were SO brutal. Seemed confused when anyone asked a question. Explicit about what willwon't be on test, actual test was totally different. Read the book, know how to do everything in covered chapters even if he says it isn't covered. Fun but very difficult.

Has a sense of humor, often tries to make the topic fun with examples. However, seems to think students have an inherent knowledge of how to apply calc to real world things. replies to questions about his extremely cryptic lectures like "dont you know simple algebra?" Lectures VERY unclear. Exams have obscure info barely talked about. etc...

He's a fun teacher and makes the subject exciting, but every test is different and he changes his mind a lot. It's really difficult to study for his exams. However, I got D's on all the exams, but I participated and did all the extra credit and I ended the class with an A.

I like this guy for his humor and enthusiasm, but he's the most disorganized instructor I've had here at Cuesta. He loses assignments in his mountains of papers in his office, so you will have to stay on top of him about your grade throughout the semester. The material he covers in lecture is the broad version of the HW. TAKE PICTURES OF LECTURES!
