Absolutely wonderful -- patient, funny, and kind. He lives and breathes latin and could probably speak it as his native langauge. At the same time, though, I never feel stupid or intimidated in his class. Great scholar, great guy.

One of the big reasons I wanted to drop intro, and one of the reasons I am now dropping the major. Somehow, he can just make you feel dumb the entire time.

I love this guy! He's completely off-the-wall, a Cicero fanatic, and all-around hardcore Classicist. He has high standards, but not too high. He'll spend twenty minutes of class telling stories, but we always get through the assignment and learn tons.

I wasn't in his con cycle, but I went on Interim with him to Greece and Italy. He is hilarious and full of knowledge - my favorite moment was when he started randomly going off in latin in the Roman Forum.
