One of the few professors whose method of teaching was all encompassing and out of the box. His goal was to do more than teach material, but to also expand horizons and ways of thinking.

Very rarely strings coherent thoughts together, or have many coherent thoughts that he can express in such a way they're understood

He's probably the worst professor I've ever had at BU. I can't think of one single thing I learned the entire semester despite going to every class except 1 or 2. He's incredibly hard to understand, both because of his thick accent and the fact that he never actually says anything comprehensible. Goes off on long pointless tangents.

This man restored my faith in Academics. First class in a 3 year university career where a professor discussed material that was contemporary, useful and cutting edge. Hasnath follows the world as it is in its constant unstructured evolution. All major newspapers are analyzed in beginning of class.

Very nice man. Easy grader, gave take 2 home exams and only one paper for the entire semester! If you do all the work it's pretty easy to get an A, he usually won't give out below a C.

No work at all except for the 1 paper. Don't really learn anything in the class that you couldn't learn if you stopped and thought about the topic for less than a second. Generous grader

Good news is that you don't do much work. Bad news is that you will not learn anything the entire semester. His jokes can be pretty funny IF you can understand them, but most of the time you just watch the clock and wonder when the babbling will stop.

totally useless prof, incomprehensible, lectures go no where. I still can't figure out what the point of this class was? grading is random. My favorite quote was his self proclamation that "all my students love me and think I am great". not this one.

This class is useless and has way too much worked involved with it. Also, you can't understand anything he says, and i learned absolutely nothing during the entire class.

He puts his heart into his work, so it's a great class. Once you actually read the material, it's worth it, he just explains it with a bad accent. But he's very kind and treats every student as if they were his child. VERY HELPFUL.

This class was a waste of time. I don't think half the class usually showed up. The textbook we were supposed to read is still plastic wrapped in my room and I got a B+ in the class. Most of the stuff I was supposed to learn in this class, I learned in another IR class. Assignments are also unclear. Avoid him if you can.

Hasnath is very smart and have vast knowledge of topics. However, he is hard to understand (accent and translation). All you have to do is read packets he hands out, and you will pass easily with an A, only 3 papers, no quizzes/tests, GPA bosting class, and you learn alot

He's a really nice guy, but an awful teacher. There is barely a point in attending lectures because his accent is so thick and his lectures are so disorganized. Everything is from the book. He really is a nice, funny, cheerful guy though.

This guy is the sh*t... hands down! He is a very intelligent man, worked with the world bank, read all the towers of books in his office, and is very very understanding of his students. He is truly passionate and an expert in what he teaches. I took two classes with him and pulled an A- twice. Comeon now, how can you not take this guy??

It's amazing that you can have class three times a week for an entire semester and not learn one single thing. Great waste of time & tuition money. This class is an embarassment to BU.
