Comment:
Dr Peters is obviously passionate about what he does. But the course is also quite difficult - reports/assignments are long and complicated but they are extremely valuable as a "lab" of sorts to see how the material from the lectures/text are actually used. The tests are very easy, which balances it out overall.

He got his own style into the computer vision problem based on geometry computation for which he got a few books published by Springer. OC, if you expect the popular deep learning approach in computer vision then you shouldn't pick his course. After some class discussion, I suspect he is robophobic but that's just my kidding hypothesis LOL.

By far the wors prof ever. Not even close. I could have learned more about computer vision by spending a few hours on pyimagesearch compared to taking this course. He taught very few concepts that I have no idea how to apply. Labs were useless boring busy-work with no application in reality. Exams were about memorizing terms and MATLAB syntax.

He is very knowledgeable when it comes to image processing. You should be comfortable with high level math in order to understand him.

Honestly, If you are a graduate student, Pls do not sign up with this prof. He is not knowledgeable at all. He is a philosopher not an Engineer. If you do not listen to me and sign up with him, get ready to receive no help or guide throughout your research. I really don't understand why the university took this prof. He shouldn't be a prof at all.

Nice guy but horrible prof who should have retired years ago. Was always scared he might die in the middle of class. Arbitrary marking schemes where he will take off 20 points for not including an actor in your diagrams. Know java well because you will be coding it in pencil for every test. Impossible to know what he expects as the right answer.

really nice guy, but he gives lectures as if you already understand all the material, doesn't really teach you much. To get a good grade, I recommend just watching the basic syntax of everything and do some of his assigned problems.

Very bad, not good as at what he does... Not sure how he will react before an exam example write some bs and get a good mark, write what is true and get the shaft.

It wouldn't have been so bad if he actually understood Petri nets - you'd think he'd learn the material after teaching it a few times.

Has no knowledge of material, tries to cover lack of knowledge by making the material seem more complicated then required. Mostly justs giggles at things, while saying things like: "well you'll get the idea one day"
