Dr. Jones is one of my absolute favorite teachers. She's passionate about literature and wants to share her knowledge with her students. In-class discussions are stimulating, and she doesn't require you reply to other students online! There is a LOT of reading, though, so make sure you have enough time.

Dr. Jones runs her online classes the way every online course should be. She gives VERY specific instructions for assignments, provides lots of online resources, and has a realistic understanding of time management regarding readings, assignments, and course length. Furthermore, she genuinely enjoys what she teaches. I highly recommend her course.

I LOVE Dr. Jones! I enjoy every lecture and I was very upset when I had to miss two classes a few weeks ago! She is hilarious and very quirky. She makes the readings understandable and interesting. Heavy use of very large textbook and other small books. Important: Midterm/Practicum/Final Exams = essays. Reading journals are a breeze! Mixed Mode.

Dr. Jones is amazing. You have to read lots of difficult philosophical theory texts in this class, but she makes them simple and even fun to study and understand. It's not easy, but the class is so worth it. She's quirky and funny, but really smart. I definitely recommend her.

The workload is pretty intense so be prepared to devote a lot of time to her classes. However, she is EXTREMELY knowledgable about literature and her lectures are super informative. I would recommend her to serious English majors who like challenging, engaging courses. Her grading is very fair.

Enjoyed every minute of this class- excellent professor. Though certainly maintaining academic focus, the course was really so much fun. Pay attention to her feedback on assignments. Don't expect to get 100%s on everything, but the extra credit opportunities she gives allow you do well if you really want to and are willing to give your best effort.

She is really a nice person... but her class is really hard. The assigned readings are ridiculously long and the assignments she gives are unclear with directions and are graded rather harshly, too. Marks up your paper, but no constructive criticisms. Basically just saying what you did wrong. Not a class I enjoyed at all.

Honestly the worse professor I have ever had and I am a Senior at UCF. She contradicted herself constantly. She grades the literary analysis extremely tough and lets her assistant grade them too. I felt like class was just full of busy work and the online quizzes taught me nothing. I read the insane amount of reading material and only got a B.

She grades the core literary essays very hard. The quizzes were a mix between hard and easy, and the poetry textbook was a nightmare. Also, her exams have outlandish point values per questions.I missed 1 question and lost 21pts out of 100!TWICE!Especially focus on getting high scores on the 24 quizzes.A bunch of 20/20s can save your grade.Believe me.

Her style of writing is confusing. I starting to get uneasied when the due times seemingly changed. I took I online, she puts audio files for lecture, which is not horrible until you find out she doesn't give a print copy. Plus it was difficult to pause them, even though she'd say to do so in the lecture.

Not the best teacher I've ever had. I used all her "suggestions" and read everything and still couldn't impress her. Guidelines for grades are in the syllabus, but she doesn't follow them--just gives out whatever grade she feels like assigning. If she doesn't like you, you can kiss a decent grade goodbye, no matter how much work you put into it.

I'll admit that I wont receive an "A" in this course, but not for lack of trying. She doesn't arbitrarily hand out grades -- she remarks on the content of your paper, strengths and weaknesses, and gives helpful suggestions. This is what a GOOD professor SHOULD be doing. You work for your grade, but it really improves critical thinking and writing.

I never got that "high and mighty" thing others posted about. Of course, I'm not an idiot, so maybe that's why she didn't come off as condescending to me. I found her accessible, funny, and smart. Yes, you have to do work, but, hell, it's college, not high school.

There is nothing wrong with Dr. Jones as a teacher, I'd just avoid taking a course on Victorian literature. I have no idea how this course will ever help me, ever. Dr. Jones never made the purpose of our studies clear. There were a few times that I felt that much-needed explanation was glossed over or denied.

Pompous, extremely arrogant and lives to belittle those who don't catch on quickly. Dr.Jones's so **** on her own intellectual hubris,it's almost comical. Lording over others by constantly mentioning your Ph.D does not a quality educator make.Like Ann Coulter, she's easy on the eyes and that's where the pleasantries end.Should try to be more humble.

Dr. Jones spends more time discussing and condemning Oprah, Harry Potter, Bridget Jones, Movies, students' movie tastes, students' book tastes, myspace.com, etc. than she EVER spends talking about a novel or criticism. Very unprofessional. Allowed a select couple of students to use class time as a platform for their personal prejudices.

I have come to realize that Dr. Jones is my favorite professor and the reason why is because she makes you think more than you would in any other class. I view things differently after taking her theories of lit class. It is a difficult class with a lot of reading and writing, and even more self-exploration and thinking.

Dr. Jones is one of my favorite professors at UCF. She is funny, intelligent, organized and professional. She is helpful and cares about the student's success. I took her for Theories of Lit. The readings are hard but the class discussion and Dr. Jones' teaching make it worthwile.
