Dr. Tiebout is extremely nice & very helpful. Overall, this class was very easy as long as you read the slides/notes he posted. The labs were not that hard either. I would definitely take him again if I had the opportunity!

Tiebout has such a great sense of humor and you can tell he's passionate about what he teaches. The exams aren't hard but there is a lot of material so give yourself time to memorize. The readings are long which is the worst part and there is textbook stuff on the exams. Final isn't cumulative.

Exams are harder than you expect, most of the class does poorly. Just actually study and show up to class and you'll be fine. His lab reports are difficult as well but some are done with a group and they are all manageable.

Took 4 courses with Dr. Tiebout. Classes are straightforward and easy to follow. Easy A if you just study the lecture notes, read the assigned reading, and follow the directions for written reports. Dr. Tiebout is very kind and helpful. Its clear he loves his subject. Overall, great teacher.

The syllabus says attendance is mandatory, but he doesn't actually take attendance. The material isn't that difficult either, so if you miss a lecture, you can teach yourself. He is one of my favorite teachers I've taken at WC. I love him, and I'm taking him again this summer.

I will also be taking my third semester w/ Tiebout in the Spring :). The people complaining about him on here probably didn't study or read the textbook and were hoping to get away with an easy A or B. Not the case (DO THE READINGS, y'all. Not hard!) but he is an awesome prof, super funny, and you can do well in his classes. Tiebout is awesome.

I will be taking my third semester with Tiebout in the Spring. His class/material is straight-forward and interesting! He does teach fast, but reviewing past units takes no effort. His exams do contain textbook material, so at the very least, read the summaries of the chapters assigned. I haven't gotten a final grade lower than a B+ in his classes.

He teaches way far ahead of the material we are supposed to be reviewing. Before we even took exam 1, he was 3 units into teaching exam 2 without even stopping to review the material that was on the first exam. Definitely one of the worst professors at WCU and would not recommend.

Although the lectures were boring, Dr. Tiebout was always available to help when needed. His tests weren't bad, but he did include information that was not discussed in class, but was in the book. I suggest going to his office hours, and following directions especially with lab. Consistent studying is needed to get good grades on tests.

One of the most unclear graders I've ever experienced in my four years at WCU. Labs are graded completely unfairly and he takes off points for the most random things (ie. lost half a point on header spacing). Expect the tests to have questions you never even learned or read about. Funny teacher and interesting class but barely worth it.

his exams are rough! you have to basically MEMORIZE all of the material because his exams are all short answer and fill in the blank and he will take off if you only have like half of a phrase written as part of your answer. I just don't understand how u can be expected to MEMORIZE all of the lecture material bc there is just too much!

Tiebout makes a fairly easy topic way more difficult than it actually is. Just reads the slides as fast as possible and doesn't really teach well at all

One of the nicest professors at West Chester. He is extremely knowledgeable and uses a lot of humor in his lectures, which are not boring. He was understanding of students' schedules and put days off to work on projects into the planning of the class! Lots of group work was required, but it wasn't bad since the class was so small. Great class.

Hands down the best professor I've ever had. I had him for 3 semesters. Dr. Tiebout literally changed how I viewed the world in his conservation bio class. you can see how much he loves teaching and his lecutures are awesome. He was always willing to help. His classes are challenging, but what you learn you'll remember

Dr. Tiebout was one of my favorite professors at West Chester. He loves teaching, has the best notes, and makes a subject that has the potential to be very boring into an awesome course. I wish I had taken more courses with him

Dr. Tiebout is the best. He is so funny, although often corny, but in a good way. The tests cover a lot of material, including questions from the book that you never go over in class. The labs are lengthy, but not especially hard. Overall, great class.

It's a hard A but an easy B since he curves. You are expected to be able to handle the loads of work, descriptive labs, proper tests (not just 50 mltp ?'s) and be on time like a big boy/girl. Don't whine about not being prepared etc. The level of work is avg for a better rated school, but a lot for WCU. But he makes the class fun and interesting.

He is a really really nice guy that has a great personality and makes the class bearable with his dry humor. BUT, the actual class itself is absolutely horrible. There is a just a ridiculous amount of material that is almost impossible to cover.

So he can be a bit hot headed, especially in lab. He is a nice guy up front though he can be nasty if you disturb the class in any way and will threaten to kick you out. He is very nice when you come to office hours. His tests cover loads of material as there are only 3 of them. I printed 200-250 pages of slides for one exam though no tricksontest
