Delmonico is an awful professor. Period. I had her for my Senior Seminar and she showed zero support for me and my topic. Instead of helping me to make my paper better, she actively made it worse. I now have two copies of my final paper, the one that I turned in and the one that I will actually show to other people.

This JINS class seemed like the hardest class ever. I had to write two papers that added up to 24 pages on Medieval Women fluff. All she wanted was fluff in her papers. Even with that, she goes back on her words and isn't clear what so ever. Even though the subject is really interesting, she doesn't lecture well or listen well. Don't take her.

She knows her stuff, but she goes off on tangents that confuses me. She also assumes that you've read non-required readings before (like other poems) and starts to talk about how they relate to the days reading. Also, doesn't tells what the paper is about until a week before it's due.

Although it is true that Dr. Delmonico is eccentric and disorganized, this doesn't at all affect a student's ability to enjoy or learn from her class. She is smart, kind, and well-prepared for each class session and although she is a little long winded she LOVES her subject and will do anything to help you love it too.

You need to keep up on reading for this class. Its not that hard. Just put some effort into your presentations and paper and you will do fine.

Professor Delmonico is an easy grader, but is extremely vague in her assignments. I never really knew what she expected. The word load is pretty light, though- just five essays and some readings that are never really discussed in class.

Kind, sweet, and loveable, but tangential and scatterbrained. She has an adorable sense of humor, but you will never know because she lectures in whispered ramblings. Knows her stuff in terms of folklore, keeps up with scholarly research, and really cares about what she teaches. Easy A. Drink some coffee before class.

She's a very nice lady, a little quirky, but nice. If you just show up and sort of make an effort, you'll get an A.

Dr. Delmonico is a very nice person. I'm sure she even does well in lecture and discussion-based courses. She was completely awful in a research class, though. There was no guidance, she knew nothing about my topic, and wasted our time with readings in a course that was supposed to focus on a long capstone paper.

I've taken several classes with Dr. Demonico and she's amazing! She just takes some getting used to before you begin to appreciate her. Because of her, I discovered a passion for South Asian lit and folklore, neither of which I would have even looked at before taking her classes. She can open the door to a new world for you... JUST TRY HER CLASS!

She's always late to class, disorganized. Grade is based off several components like group projects, random quizzes, papers, tests, and an individual project. None of these are very hard if you know the material tho. She's enthusiastic about the subject and classes went by quickly. Mainly group discussion

She is really interested, but is AWFUL at teaching! She is always late, and is very disorganized. She won't tell you what she expects on any assignment, and her pop-quizzes are hard and aren't very clear. She gets off topic and tries to rush through things. Awful, avoid at all costs.

Mythology. Yeah, she's really interested in the subject matter, but she makes YOUR interest impossible to maintain. Only attended for pop quizzes, which were impossible even if you read. Studied 5-6 hours for midterm, came away with an 80. Not happy.

Wow, all of you who say that Delominco teaches are wrong. The only reason anyone should take her class is for an easy A, even then its extremely difficult to put up with her. She has no control of class, does not analyze the text, forgets things ALL THE TIME and is NOT a teacher. Without a doubt the worst, most frustrating least challenging teacher

She can seem random, but if you've done/understand the readings you understand that what she's saying actually has a lot to do w/ whatever topic is being discussed. Try hard and she'll love you. Slack off and she won't. That being said, she isn't a tough grader. Allows for lots of creativity. Basically, you get out what you've put into her classes.

She's phenomenal. Don't listen to the detractors, just give her a shot. She can be a bit random at times, but her tangents are fascinating and you learn a lot. She's always willing to help if you talk to her.Overall, possibly my favorite professo at Truman.

Dr. Delmonico is very nice, but the only reason I even bothered to come to class was the pop quizzes. Class time is usually spent reviewing what we've read, and it's pretty useless. Folklore is a pretty good class though. The actual lore is fascinating--it's only when we have to read the theory of folkloristics textbook that it gets boring.

She's a very nice person, but she's extremely disorganized and the class lectures are fairly pointless. I wouldn't bother going to class if it weren't for the pop quizzes. She's a fairly easy grader, so her class isn't hard, just kind of boring.

Here's the deal, if you really enjoy discussions about strange fantasy worlds and things that are not based in any logic, take her it will be fun. Once you throw in logic, you will be lost. Sort of a nice lady till you get on her bad side. She really hated my writing, but in my English class, the teacher really enjoyed it...weird.

I had her for British Literature: Renaissance, and it was good that she is very into her subject, but she is SO absentminded. Always keeps five minutes after class at least, especially if people aren't talkative. Overall, I liked her vigor, but she has bad taste in readings...and a creepy love of Milton.
