"Christ and Reconciliation." Nice guy. Not a heretic. Gives hand outs for students to follow along during class lectures. If you know these sheets and can repeat key phrases on tests, you are sure to score well. Fair grader. Learned a lot about church history and creeds.

Professor Schneider's humor, patience, and clarity made this class something I looked forward to, even though it was at 9am. He had a great relationship with his students, and took time to personally get to know me. Fascinating class material--I talked about it all the time!

Awesome guy, just have to know that the only thing that matters is notes, and most of the time he gives you handouts with notes.

Schneider can be arrogant, but he's incredibly knowledgeable, humorous, and helpful. Loved his class content, loved his wit. He's not the most intriguing of profs (won't capture your attn. if you don't come ready to listen), but he is very fair and organized. I'd recommend him to anyone. Looks cute in his blazers and jeans, too!

This professor is very confusing and is all over the place with his lectures. You need to be paying attention in order to understand the lecture, even if you are paying attention it is hard to understand. He is very unapproachable and rude almost. I tried to talk to him about a paper and he acted like I was stupid and was very rude about it.

Not a bad prof. His lectures can be quite boring but thats theology. He has a really funny sense of humor you will eventually catch on to. Its all based on 3 tests and a paper so its not too bad. Kind-of a tough grader on those though.Dont expect an A unless you can express your knowledge through essays really well.

I thought he was one of the biggest jerks and actually once said that a student's beliefs were stupid. completely unreasonable at times, but when I approached him humbly and excuseless, he actually surprised me and gave me lecture notes. His tests were not too bad, but you must cater to him

This is the class: sit for 50 minutes while he lectures. Tests basically notes. If you're good at taking notes take this class. I personally couldn't follow along very well. Very intelligent guy who knows his stuff but hard to understand if you don't have much theology background.

Brought interesting speakers to class. Very relevant topic, he definitely lets you know what he believes about Genesis but doesn't require that you agree with him. Workload was not bad at all, but I gained a lot by taking the class. I highly recommend the DCM Reading Genesis course.

Very smart guy. Made what could have been a very boring interim into an interesting and very applicable class. I would defiantly recommend his Interim: Reading Genesis. Fun sense of humor and good off-topic stories to break up some tedious material.

Very dry lectures that last all 50 minutes not a minute less. He is funny but is serious when it comes down to the subject matter. Take him if you wish to be challenged both mentally and in your GPA.

Fairly easy class, esspecialy for a Calvin Religion class. His lectures are haphaszard and repetitive but the tests are easy basic knowledge. He really knows his stuff.

Prof Schneider is one of the best profs I've had at Calvin! He's interesting, has a good sense of humor, helpful, and his tests are straightforward if you follow along well with the notes. He really knows what he's talking about. The readings aren't too heavy, either. I've recommended this class to others and I'd definitely take this prof again.

He was very arrogant in his teaching style. He has a great deal of knowledge, but didn't know how to teach that to his students. He would rather fill up his coffee and wait to answer students' questions. He was semi-funny with a very dry sense of humor.

Material is hard to understand and professor can be very boring. Sometimes he'll throw a joke or two into his lectures, but most of the time I want to fall asleep in class. Only two tests, one paper, and exam. Tests aren't so bad but expect to work hard for a good grade.

Basically, Prof. Schneider is full of himself. This might not be a problem, if he didn't let it get in the way of helping his students. He would rather hurry out of class to go full up his coffee then spend the time to answer a student's question.

Material is confusing at times and its a whole different language. The tests are well laid out to study and the readings are helpful. The prof. is intimidating or atleast looks and talks, but he does have a sense of humor...which needs a lot of attention to get the joke. i dont highly recommend this class, but i do recommend it anyways.

Great class for DCM. He doesn't want to make the class hard. Only assignments were some readings, a final paper and takehome exam. He starts class at 9:00. I wrote the paper in one day and got an A for the class. Challenges your thinking about Genesis and very interesting while not difficult.
