Your grade basically hinges on a final research paper that is worth 40%, he gives no teaching instruction except for an out dated syllabus with contradictory information through out. If you ask for help, he replies with a vague answer or with an irritated tone. This professor lacks passion for his students and seems only to be there for the ckeck.

The best way I can describe this prof is that he has multiple typos in his syllabus yet he takes points off of you if you email him incorrectly.

This professor does not care about the success of his students. If you take this professor, you will be stressed to an unhealthy level the whole semester. He requires a research paper worth 40% of your grade that is insanely hard, and he refused to answer questions on the paper the final three weeks before it was due. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR.

I have never in my life met a teacher so unwilling to teach in my life. I emailed Dr. Williams and accidentally called him Mr. and he went off on me and belittled me. I was marked points off for calling him Mr. and we are doing this final project that is 40% of our grade and Im personally scared to even ask questions.

Let me be extremely clear, DO NOT TAKE THIS INSTRUCTOR. He is as bad as the previous reviews state. He is not in the least bit interested in you or what you may learn. He's clearly showing-up to a job. His test are random from a database and there is no guide given. Photographic memories welcome. Work load is extremely heavy.

Do not take this class if you don't need to. I took multiple IB classes in high school, & this is still the hardest class I have ever had to take because of the INSANE assignments and criteria. He is too strict for a community college class. He is rude & condescending, & has made me (almost) cry numerous times. He does not care about his students.

I took this as an online 7 week course. The structure is strange and he is rather hands off and late to reply to emails over the weekend, despite assigning homework starting on Friday night. Do the work and assignments correctly and you'll do fine.

Hated Dr. Williams. Worst professor ever. I emailed and asked for clarification on assignments, etc just to get NO clarification, just was told to look back and the explanation he gave. I felt humiliated and stupid even communicating with him. I cried when I couldnt figure out the assignments on my own and was extremely stressed.

Cedric Williams-worst professor I've ever had. I emailed him to let him know that my internet crashed in the middle of my exam. didn't email back until 4:50, stating he reset the 60 question exam and that I only had until 5pm to finish, all while belittling me on when I should sacrifice all my time on his class and not working. Failed the exam.

Literally the worst professor I've ever dealt with. I took this course online to save money from my home university and deeply regret it. although the course content isn't too difficult, Dr. Williams is power-hungry and is actively trying to screw over students. I do not recommend taking any courses from this professor.

I took this class online as a junior in high school and was super worried after reading the reviews. However, it was wayyyy easier than the ratings and reviews made it seem. Dr. Williams always responded to my emails quickly and was willing to help. Yes, there was a lot of reading, but its a sociology class so... Proabably helps that it was online!

Dr. Williams was a terrible professor. He does not teach a single thing, just makes you read chapters and take quizzes/exams. Then you write a paper worth 40% of your grade. I spent hours on this paper and still did not feel it was meeting his insane criteria. This steers me away from sociology all together.

Cedric, sorry I mean "Dr. Williams" oftentimes gives ultimatums about how you will fail if ____. He also gives a 23 page instructional on a final research paper that feels doctoral level, bizarre for a 200-level class.

Nothing says this class is a joke like a 10 page research paper worth 40% of your grade. The actual class is set up poorly: one week to do 3 chapters worth of online assignments, a quiz on each chapter the following week, then the exam over those 3 chapters the week after that. Buy the paperback book, it will make this class a LOT easier.

This is probably the worst professor I've ever had. If you're looking for a tough grader who is beyond unclear about assignments, welcome. Your entire grade relies upon a 10 page research paper due at the end of the semester. The issue with this is that the paper is worth 40% of your grade. So if you do horribly on the paper? You have no chance.

Professor williams was the worst professor Ive ever had. He never graded the online work until the very very end so you dont know your grades, he demands you call him Dr. Williams, and youre whole grade can be completely flipped by one research paper due at the end of the semester worth a big chunk of your grade. Save yourself. Dont take him!

I have never had a worse professor in my life. If you are reading this don't even consider taking his course. He constantly threatens to fail the class if you don't do oddly specific things. Tells you not to email him, syllabus is confusing, grading is confusing, he is not only a bad professor but just seems to be an awful human being. Do not take.
