Professor Phan was a great teacher and really wants the best for his students. He tried his best to help us understand the material and was open to questions. If you try your best he will pass you. My only complaint is the common final, given by the state, was much harder than the tests in class. Prof Phan's test were only 10 questions.

He likes to talk when hes bored but overall hes a great professor. He takes the time to explain things you didnt understand. Do the homework, put the effort and youll get a good grade. He even gave us extra credit which helped us study for the final. Take him!

Professor Phan is the best!!!! The best math teacher I have ever had!! You have to show up and do the work, but if you come to class and are trying, he goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to help you understand the concepts. Truly a great teacher, and also hilarious! Great discussions!!

hes a great teacher, everyone saying his accent is horrible needs to relax and stop being arrogant he's an american Korean grow up he learned english as a third language his english isn't what makes the class its the teaching and he knows what he is doing!! love him great teacher i recommend if you're a fast learner and want to learn diff methods!

reading all the horrible comments about him i find it dumb because, all these ratings sound like hatred rather than critism. i took mr. phan for a fast track math course m-thu spring semester and he did everything possible to help us out. he was one of the best math teachers i took! i struggled with my math but he truly cared 4 me 2 pass! def rec!

Arguably one of the worst professors G.C.C. has to offer. I am literally in the middle of the class and I am just so unsatisfied. He gives no partial credit - and basically teaches nothing. He quite literally has denied student questions saying he doesn't have the time. Numerous phone calls answered and study guides for him are pointless.

This guy is the worst Professor that GCC has to offer from any department. He has a very strong accent that almost makes it impossible to understand anything he is saying. If you ask him a question he will not answer you clearly. It was a 2.5 hour class and he would alway let us leave 1.5 hours early and say that he had to go. Don't take this guy!!

worst math teacher ive ever taken, im a good math student and took this class as a supposed refresher but his grading is ridiculous its impossible to get a good grade unless your tests are perfect, no partial credit on tests or extra credit at all. he would show up, unprepared, on his phone, going off on tangents mid lecture rushing through it all

No partial credit on tests at all No extra credit opportunities ever Will not take many questions Goes off on tangents, will let out class early almost every meeting He had no lectures planned, he just assigned tons of hw that was worth a total of 5% of our grade and was not receptive to the class attitude/understanding of a concept

It's difficult for me to leave a negative message for anyone, but this guy has not business teaching math. He has a thick accent, can be rude, strays off topic, can belittle a question if he feels you should have already gotten it. I'll stop at that even though it gets worse. Don't take him unless you're excellent at math.

He has a good attitude but just dosen't take the time to explain the material, he rushes through it and assumes everybody knows what he is saying. He will answer questions but his answers are not clear enough. Seems like he just wants to get through the lesson as quickly as he can.

This professor is the worst math professor I ever had. Not only does he not explain his material but he doesn't give partial credit on any of his tests. By far the worst professor I have ever had. He failed over half the class. I learned absolutely nothing from him. He doesn't help you with any questions. My grandmother died during the semester and he wouldn't let me take a test early, forcing me to get a zero on a test so I could attend her funeral. Foul human being. Hates his job. Don't take!!

Well if you are good at studying by your self or math talented then it's going to go good for you; but if your not then get lots of tutors ; then agian if you ain't shy ask a lot of questions but people will complain in the class :\ so basically a normalish class but got to work hard.
