Prof. Bennet's quizzes and midterm was okay, but his final exam was hell!! The guy had way too many questions on the final and expected us to finish it. The other issue with him was that he doesn't know how to teach, not only is his voice super boring, but he has no interest. The only reason I survived was because of the textbook and Clayton

No idea what Professor Bennet was doing all semester, having 0 office hours the full term. He definitely did not care at all for the students, and wanted to finish his lecture as quick as possible to get out of there.

Professor Bennet was alright at best. Quizzes were hard and lectures were quite dry, but the exams were fair overall. His lecturing style could definitely be improved upon as they weren't the most engaging like mentioned before. However all semester he didn't have any office hours so it felt like he wasn't really there to help students.

Doctor Andrew Bennett should not be employed a university. He has been the worst teacher I have ever experienced in my life. He doesnt teach, his lectures are useless and his final was impossible. Not enough time and it wasnt even fair questions. Dont put yourself through the pain of chem 122 with him. You will regret every second.

if you think you can teach yourself a semester's worth of chemistry without any help then maybe you can make it out of this class alive. his lectures were so useless that I stopped watching 1 week in. no office hours and certainly no answered emails. I would avoid this prof at all cost.

Solid prof. The quizzes he made were quite hard, but the exams were doable. Lectures weren't engaging but lecture slides were clear.

Midterm was ok. Final was pretty hard but lots of lon capa questions. Lectures are boring but he went through lots of examples. The man was nice enough to out two questions he step by step in a review lecture on the final exam. Seems like a nice enough guy, but not a great lecturer.

The midterm was quite good. Most of the midterm questions were from the Loncapa homework. However, the final exam was a totally different story. There were lots of difficult questions and most of the students in the class were not able to finish them on time. The lectures were super bad. DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!

If you are looking to take Chem 122 avoid Bennet at all costs. Lectures consisted of him reading off the slides. They were dry and difficult to get through, even on 2x speed. He doesn't hold office hours. You're better off just reading the textbook. The mt was fair but the final, worth 45%, was much harder.

His midterm was more fair than his final but the final was worth so much more that it didn't matter. The quizzes that we had to do were aids, there was little to no way to prep for them. You have to learn the units by yourself mainly as his lectures were just pointless and bland with no enthusiasm at all. DO NOT TAKE WITH HIM.

TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE. UNORGANIZED, LACKS ALL PASSION FOR THIS COURSE. SLOW. WATCHED LECTURES ON 2X SPEED EVERY SINGLE TIME. DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE WITH HIM IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOURSELF. THIS IS WHAT TRUE PAIN IS. MIDTERM WAS FAIR BUT THAT FINAL.... AVOID Dr Bennet at all costs. He made what shouldve been an easy course EXCRUCIATINGLY HARD.

Dr Bennett does seem a little all over the place teaching CHEM 122 but Im going to give him benefit of the doubt because Ive heard that he doesnt like teaching inorganic chem as much as orgo. I found his midterm to be fair but his quizzes throw you off sometimes, so on the difficulty scale I would give him around a 3.5.

Seems like a good guy but he is the most unorganized prof I've ever had. Lectures were horrible at first, but he took feedback and improved his system so it was easier to follow along. Pretty boring lectures overall (watched on 1.4x speed and it wasnt bad). Midterm was basically just the homework so not sure why the average was so low.

He does not seem like he is ready to teach, explains course material very poorly and overall absolutely disorganized. He had the audacity to even put the stuff that he claimed those would not be on the quiz. ***Definitely avoid him at all cost.

i thought he was going to be a really bad prof based on the ratings here but he actually is a decent lecturer i studied based on the slides and went to all the lectures for iclickers and ended up with good marks on the midterm. definitely need to put in the work for such an intense course. dr bennet is very helpful just go to his office hours

Comment:
I didn't like Dr. Bennet's teaching style for CHEM 122, but I've completely changed my tune after taking CHEM 281 with him. He's not the best at explaining concepts and his notes are mediocre, but he provides lots of good iClicker questions and exams are fair. In addition, his sense of humor made this challenging course bearable.
