This is philosophy people! Be prepared to open your minds, think, and debate. The lectures dont always line up with the homework, which can be confusing, but the lectures are fun. The homework is super lengthy but easy, he just really wants to hear YOUR thoughts.

Outstanding professor. Youll get stuff in his class no one will say anywhere else. He gets into big issues. If you dont want to think dont take his class. Hes a nice guy too. The haters are the people hear spewing the hateful comments. Take the class and learn something. One of the best profs at SWC

His lectures were very dry/boring. Typical lectures consisted of a powerpoint and would usually go off tangent due to asking everyone's opinion on each topic. Lectures were majority opinion based which was not helpful due to the exams being based on the textbook.

He doesn't even know what he's teaching. Doing his work won't help. The reason I passed the class with an A is because he got a surgery and we got a substitute teacher which graded us just with an essay.

He teaches a very interesting class and you just have to show up and listen. He's a super nice guy that is also very knowledgable and helpful! You have homework every week that corresponds to the textbook (which you can view for free online) but it's not too bad. There are a few tests and a world view paper at the end that you have to complete.

He is a very confusing man. Teaches some content leaves the rest to his students. Kind of boring as well.

Honestly was the worst prof. I've ever had. He's a chill guy but super boring and super hard to understand. He gives hw that has no relevance to the stuff he lectures about. Also, doesn't care if only 1 person understands his lessons and will NOT give out any help even if you ask. Seriously upset that I didn't drop his class when I had the chance.

Hes a nice guy but a horrible teacher. No study guides, boring and most of the time, hard to understand what hes trying to teach. I should have just taken this class online...

Honestly the worst teacher I have ever taken. Very unclear and not helpful what so ever. Most of the class if not all would admit we were ready to move forward to the next section yet he still did. Honestly seems like a good guy but isn't clear and seems like he doesn't care. If you take this, goodluck. You basically have to teach yourself.

At first he wasn't that bad, but further into the semester he became more and more confusing. There were even times where he didn't know what he was talking about! The class would admit that they weren't ready to move on and he still would and give us the hardest tests that no one could finish. Drop the class, especially if it isn't for credit.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY! He's hateful and promotes his own views on students rather than teach all sides of the issue. He has his own agenda to promote hate against people he doesn't like or disagree with. He's bad news!

Very nice & sweet professor BUT does not give out study guides, will not go over what will really be on the test, A LOT of reading (which Im all for h/w if it will help for tests but it doesn't), if you did not do so good on last test you will probably not do well on the next since what was on last test "WILL BE ON NEW TEST"..

He is a very nice teacher and he is funny. BUT all the note taking I don't feel helps me on the tests... NO study guide, doesn't really review exactly what will be on his tests, whatever was on the last test "will be on the next ones". So if you didn't do good on the last test you will probably be a bit screwed on the next..A LOT of reading...

He is a very nice teacher. One of the best I've had here at Southwestern. He can be a little disorganized at times but he is a very great teacher and you will learn a lot in his class. Although some of his views are different than what some people like, his classes are very fun and you learn a lot.

May in fact be the worst teacher I have had yet. Even if you try and take notes, they are completely disorganized and the worst handwriting you will ever see, so notes are difficult. The reading is lengthy and the videos are terrible. He "never will tell you whats on the test nor will there ever be a study guide." I wish it had more clarity...

I received an A in his class but the things I saw were very concerning. I saw him belittle students views during discussions and giving D's to students whos views dissent from his own. He purposely wastes time so he didn't have to review exams as his grading was filled with mistakes. As a fellow student I feel compelled to urge u 2 drop this class
