The test are different and he reads off his powerpoint. He doesnt really do much to help you be successful in the class. His class is also very boring and his study guides dont really help at all. I would have preferred a more structured study guide. Hes a nice guy but not a good professor.

I had Doug many years ago at Mohawk Saltfleet Campus. He was a fabulous math teacher, but more importantly, he was the first person ever to open my eyes to the possibility of going to university. With that nudge, I went on to university and got my degrees. He was a major impact in my life, and I am eternally grateful.

Mr. Doug Johnston is the only reason I'm sticking it through. Feeling very directionless and lost, I nearly dropped everything. Then, the class after the mid-term. Mr. Johnston told us all about his experience in not letting math win and it motivated me so much! He really is by far the best teacher I have had in all my time at College!! Thank you!

Sometimes I felt very rushed in class but found Doug to be available almost anytime of the day to help for anything.If he is retiring, he will definitely be missed. His commitment to his students is exceptional as is his commitment to the usage of the Mohawk website. If only other could follow his footsteps, it would help a lot more students.

Fantastic teacher!!! I was never a fan of math and I don't plan on becoming one anytime soon but Doug made a world of difference!!! He was so helpful and he really cared about us! I learned so much from him including valuable life lessons! Thanks so much Doug! next yrs math students will miss out on a great prof! happy retirement!

Couldn't of been a better teacher. Sadden to hear he will be retiring. Very lucky to have learned under him. Enjoyed his classes very much. Doug Jonhston, in all honesty, has to be the best teacher here at the College. The amount of time and effort he puts into his position is almost at the point of being ludicrous. He is always available to help, whenever you need it and he tries his best to make you understand the material. Best teacher at the College, deserves a raise! :p
