Mark is a great prof to take for this course. He shares tons of stories and shows videos for lectures. There are 5 excel assignments, 6 assignments, in class activities, 1 midterm and one final. The written part of the exams come from the 6 assignments so study those and you'll be fine. Overall easy course if you put the time and effort in

Mark is a really nice guy, who shares lots of personal stories and shows videos in the class for his lectures (not the most engaging style of teaching, but works for some). The assignments are helpful for studying for his exams, so the course is set up to be straightforward and easy. Has in-class exercises in most classes, so make sure to attend.

Mark is a guy. I love how he shares his travelling and life experiences & relates it to the course. You definitely learn a lot from this class. He is a chill, laid-back guy. There are 4-5 excel assignments, question/answer assignment from each chapter (easy) & if you read the chapters and g over the chapter review questions, you will do great!

This course is actually interesting if you take the time to learn more about the topics covered in class. Some of the course content is dated and needs to be made more relevant. Exams were very fair with no surprises. Written assignments were annoying but they helped you prepare for exams. Mark is a good choice for 2205.

Mark is a great prof. This class is all memorization anyway. He gave an easy course outline; 15% excel(5), 15% assignments(5), quiz before every lecture worth 10%, midterm 30% and final 30%. His quizzes are hard but the percentage makes up in excel and the assignments. As long as you make the word count you will get full marks, excel was easy too.

Mark is a very lowkey understanding teacher, you have quizzes every class theyre probably harder than the midterm + the final. He is hilarious and loves to crack jokes and is very knowledgeable of the subject, the subject itself is dry but he still his best to tie in real-world scenarios. Midterm and final all you need to do is study and youll pass

The course requires a foundation in Office, especially Excel. Lectures are a bit dry but he is helpful and accessible. He is fair with marking. No surprises if you keep up with homework and assignments, attend lectures, etc.

He is a really good prof! This class is really boring in general so he tries his best to make it fun and is always helping students. I would recommend this prof. Assignments are easy and straightforward.

Comment:
CBSY 2205 was the most boring class I've ever taken. That being said Mark tries his hardest (to no success) to make it interesting. The midterm/final are really easy to do well on if you go through the textbook/power-points. His weekly moodle quizzes are a pain but aren't worth much. Mark's still the best choice for this class (dont take Simon)

This class is boring, the lectures are boring, the material is boring. This is not Mark's fault. The subject is *boring*. There is no way to liven up learning how to use Word and Excel. Everything is straight forward. Do the assignments on time. Show up for class and the quizzes, and there is no reasonable excuse to not have any lower than a B.

Great teacher that presents the material in an understandable format. Don't miss his class though, not because he will screw you over or anything but because you move at a really fast pace during this course; show it the respect it needs even if it just feels like you are reviewing things at first.

The content is easy to fair. The teacher is sometimes unclear, but he is quite helpful. He is kind and lenient when extending assignment dates. Pretty good teacher, I'd take one of his classes again.

The class is dead easy if you can read the textbook. His classes are an absolute drag, he doesn't add any additional value beyond the textbook material. He simply drones on via the textbook companion powerpoints. He fills class time with crossword puzzles and pointless videos. Take it online if that's an option.

One of the easiest classes available, but O'Meara tries to make it appear harder than it really is. Attendance is mandatory to learn the material, or read 1900 pages from the 4 textbooks on your own time. Online assignments are vital practices for the exams. Overall, a humourous and knowledgeable prof. Definitely a GPA Booster in Bold Arial Black.

Mark was an alright instructor who had a good teaching style but was lazy at other times (later in the course). He also seemed to get impatient with students who asked questions. It was an easy course but he dis try to make it harder than it had to be at times with his vague multiple choice questions. Also, his final exam was poorly run.

Mark is a very nice and helpful teacher. I would not call him lazy as during my class he was running back and forward to make sure all the students get help they needed. I would definitely recommend taking his class. You would need to hire a magician to make this class interesting I would not blame the instructor for boring material!
